You apply for the card through a credit company. They look over your application and based on your monthy income and credit history they provide you with a line of credit. You use the card and buy items with this credit. At the end of the month you pay your bill for the credit you used in that month. They also add interest on the credit that you used. They use the interest that you pay and others pay to insure they never go broke and can offer credit lines to more people.

you get something, like a cd. you pay 20 dollars. the store gets about 19.25 from the CCC (credit card company) and gets the money transferred right away.

once a month, you get a bill. if you do not pay it in full, you are charged interest, on this purchase maybe 20% of 20 dollars (4 bucks) divided by 12 (35 cents?)

so your next bill would be 20.35. pay it off in full every month and you may escape any interest fees.

How a "CREDIT CARD" works? Like VISA, MASTERCARD etc..?

you pay using those cards.
no need for money.
and then you have to pay on monthly basis.
with added interests, of course.

visa and mastercard are the most recognizable credit cards. so you can use them anywhere in the world. i guess.

Well you buy stuff on credit and make monthly payments back with interest. I wouldn't use it except emergencies if I were you. It's too easy to get in over your head in debt with them.
