Lactobacillus acidophilus is one of the beneficial strains of bacteria that are used in making Yoghurt. It is a gram positive rod and some immunologists claim it can have nonspecific immune enhancing effects.

If, and this is a big if, these relatively mild immune benefits can help you rid yourself of whatever organism is causing inflammation in your sinuses and nasopharynx, then maybe it may stop post nasal drip.

On the other hand, I have had post nasal drip since my childhood and I eat yoghurt every day and I still have post nasal drip.

So, I must join the others in saying that most likely lactobacillus acidophilus won't do anything to help your post nasal drip.

Good luck with your search.
