To hurt people by telling them their ugly, stupid, or fat? Why is it necessary to gossip about someone and spread untruths? Why is it necessary to think badly about ourselves thus spiraling into depression, drug use and thoughts of suicide? Why is it necessary for parents to hate their kids, beat them, tell them lies to make them fill terrible about themselves only to become unproductive citizens in our society? Why is it necessary to kill just for a pair of sneakers or for a few dollars? Why is it necessary to have sex to fill the void in our spirits and to feel loved and wanted? Why is it necessary to steal when we really don't have a need for what we take, hate our brother, lie to our mothers simply because we're too afraid to tell the truth? Why is it necessary to deny that God so loves us, when we don't even love ourselves, and gave his son Jesus so that we wouldn't have to feel alone, and that when we die, we would know without a doubt that we would have a place in heaven?

Umm....*sigh* I'm sorry you are upset at the atrocities of the world. But your god created it. He gave us the choice to chose him or Hell (so your Bible says). Other people's religious choices should not be dwelled upon. They will either join you in your heaven, go to their own, have no afterlife, have MANY afterlives and etc. Worry your head about changing your personal sphere of influence to the better good. Not to the better good of those that share your belief, but to the better good of ALL.

We come into this world full of wonder and joy. Then our parents teach us most of what is programmed into our heads. The world adds it's opinion of our every move. When we are proud.........religion teaches us that is a sin.........when we are secure in ourselves, we are taught that is being conceited. We start preschool and for the rest of our lives we are measured by the world's standards as to what is acceptable.

Unfortunately many of us find fault with others as a way of making us look better. If it gets the attention off of us we are relieved even if it is just for a moment. Hatred of any kind is simply a reflection of self hatred. You hate in others what you feel is a weakness or flaw in yourself.

Sadly most of us follow one of the commandments........Love thy neighbor as thyself..........we hate ourselves and in turn hate our neighbors......I have fought this all of my life. I never understood hating someone because of their skin color, genealogy, disability or abilities.

None of these are necessary.
People chose to behave this way, because they are not rooted in Christ.
People have become evil.
Instead of spending their time reading and studying the bible, they would rather do some or all of the above mentioned things.
Pray for them.

John 1
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.

3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[b]

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

it is not necessary
it is an evil caused by satan's temptation of man in this present world.
But don't worry. I read the end of the "book" and the Christians win.
