God is omniscient. When he created the universe, he saw the sufferings which humans would endure as a result of the sin of those original humans. He heard the screams of the damned. Surely he would have known that it would have been better for those humans to never have been born (in fact, the Bible says this very thing), and surely this all-compassionate deity would have foregone the creation of a universe destined to imperfection in which many of the humans were doomed to eternal suffering. A perfectly compassionate being who creates beings which he knows are doomed to suffer is impossible.

The Bible tells us that the Genesis creation was "good." There was no sin and therefore no suffering or death. Why then did God give Adam and Eve the ability to sin, knowing full well that they would sin and bring death and pain to the human race? Some believe that if Adam had been created without the ability to chose, then he would have been a "robot." A father cannot make his children love him. They choose to love him because they have a free will. Others point out that humanity would never have seen the depth of the love of God, as displayed in the cross, unless Adam had sinned, and that fact could be one reason why God allowed sin to enter the world.

We are not doomed to suffer. There is imperfection and sadness in this world to endure for a reason. We are here to learn and experience for God. We can not learn about life if everything is perfect. There must be trials to pass to gain knowledge and go home.

An all-good God. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with this. God is all-powerful and all-knowing. But read your Old Testament. He may have forgiven us our sins in the New Testament, but he was and is not a nice, friendly diety. You can not know the plans in his head, there is a reason for everything. There must be suffering, it can't all be a bed of roses. How would you know that you had it good, if you didn't have the bad to balance it. The reasons will be shown to you in the afterlife. You must have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to get there.

PEople could answer all of your questions that your throw out in an attempt to discredit Christianity but I realize what they all have in common.

You define what you think God should be like in your own mind, and then when you can think of a case where God isnt doing what he should be doing, according to you, then you use that as evidence that there is no God. You've wrapped yourself in circular reasoning.

Example:

I think Jennifer Lopez should marry me. So if Jennifer Lopez doesnt want to marry me, Jennifer Lopez must not exist.

I can't help but wonder about this overwhelming obsession you have with what Christians believe. Are you jealous or just filled with hatred? Perhaps you just can't live with the fact that maybe, just maybe there is something in this universe that is more powerful than you.

I struggle with believing that you would ever understand that God did not cause the suffering in this world but instead it is Satan that visits the misery and suffering upon humankind.

I envision you sitting in your mother's basement, in your underwear, leaning back and gobbling another fistful of Cheetos and swilling it down with beer, looking at your computer screen and asking, "Wull, whut da hell don't he do sumpin' 'bout all this sufferin' that's 'cause of th' devil???"

Well, be patient mr. atheist, be patient....he will.

I don't think God created the Universe so that we could only suffer. I think he created it so we could learn to love. How can we appreciate life without loss. How can we love without the knowledge of Hate. How can we learn to forgive without the feeling of hurt from others? These are lessons on how to live life.

If your thesis is true, that God could not possible exist, then all human suffering must be a result of pure chance and not sin. The real question is how does one measure goodness, love, joy, etc. without it's antithesis?

Take yourself out of your shoes and think about this...Parents punish their children...in LOVING ways, you might get grounded, sent to your room, spanked, etc...Now, forgetting about the psycho parents and focusing on the the actual loving parents. Do they punish their children wanting them to hurt or suffer?....No, Because God is God, He knows all things. We cant think on his level, we cant act the same as he does. We cant fathom His understanding. Just as loving parents correct their children so hopefully they wont suffer in the long run, Jesus corrects our paths so hopefully we wont suffer eternal Hell.

The Day and Hour Unknown
32"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33Be on guard! Be alert[f]! You do not know when that time will come. 34It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.

35"Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' "

No man, Adam and Eve brought all this sh*t down on humanity. Why do you go blame God? It's up to every individual to deal with the rules now ... the 10 Commandments. And if you can't handle that, go run to Jesus and trip all over yourself.
