Please explain why other religions are incorrect. Like Hinduism, Islam, etc. Try to explain without the use of "my bible says", "my church says"... explain to me as if you wanted to disprove them, and not prove yours.

thank you for being serious

All the tension in the world today is because of the absoluteness of the two religions, namely Islam & Christianity. The religions are self-centric concentrating on their respective deities. Often times this leads to conflict. The wars raging today in Iraq & Afghanistan are sequels to the earlier Crusades fought in honor of the "Cross & Crescent"; signifying the respective religious symbols.

I am a Hindu & we believe in "universal" peace & harmony. This approach has made lives a lot easier. We respect other religions & are porous to their thoughts.

Thank you.

First of all I am a Lutheran. I am also open minded. It is not the fact that mine is the only religion. Most of the other religions only follow the Old Testament. The Old Testament is not the complete story. You need both the Old and the New Testament to get the picture that Christians see. The Mormon Bible, for example was written by One man later in history, which reflects only his views.

The Bible reflects the views of many people saying the same thing at different times. Read Kings and see what happens to the Jews when they fall from Grace and before that in Judges.

okay, really really hard not to use the Bible because that is my foundation. But to start, most religions are based on the works you do. Since we all struggle with pride, selfishness, anger, bitterness, etc- how much is enough? How much good works, penance, etc is enough to pay for our sins or earn righteousness- can any religion define that. Who gets to say who has done enough and who has not. Who can say what the attitude of the heart is concerning one man who may have never done anything 'really bad' but is prideful in the fact that they have not and holds themselves above others as opposed to someone who may have been a lying cheating murderer but came to repent and completely change his attitude, humbled himself but did not live long enough to do enough good works to earn him salvation. who decides and by what standard which one goes to heaven and which one doesn't and why. Christianity is the only religion based on forgivenes through the grace of God, God humbling Himslef that we may learn to walk in humility. Jesus Christ is the ONLY man who has died and is alive today, resurrected overcoming death , hell and the grave- this cannot be said for Buddha or any other great spiritual leader. Many of these great siritual leaders teachings were based on the teachings of Jesus and eventually Jesus was taken out of the picture that man would be glorified instead of God.
I would rather place my life into the hands of a God who has power and authority over death than in a man who may have been educated and wise but is nothing more than a man, flesh and blood no greater or worse than me.
There are a lot of very unique things about Christianity that unfortunately are often misrepresented, sadly most often by those calling themselves Christians. Most of these things only to be understood through study, prayer, and an understanding of the context in which these things are written.

Everyone has there own opinion on how to worship God. The bible is taken to be the revealed word of God by Christians. This says that no one can know God except through his son Jesus Christ. It is a contradiction to accept that and at the same time believe that God can be known by another method. Faith that the bible is the revealed word of God therefore are not compatible with other religions.

I don't know whether they are incorrect; I only know that Christianity is true and right. I have only the evidence of my own spirit and my own life. Faith can't be proven or disproven; that's why it's called faith. I can witness to others but the proving is in God's hands.

Hinduism and Buddhism are old beliefs and systems to live by.

Mormonism, islam, etc. came on the scene later.

True Christianity is the only system where The GOD reaches down to man - and not the other way around, as in all other belief systems.

Only True Christianity offers a SIMPLE and EASY formula for Salvation.
(I often think it appears much to easy and is therefore not believed .)

If Christianity is "correct" that means all other beliefs are "incorrect." Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.

We don't (or at least, I don't) try to prove other people that they're wrong, but all I can say is that I believe what I do. For me, the Bible is enough. I just believe.

Oh, you are just asking for a bunch of nonsense brainwashed propaganda. If I were you, I'd just accept that no religion is "right" and we are all entitled to believe what we want to.
