I hear what you are saying. How could it be? Some evidence suggests that the CIA protects the poppy production.

Anyway, did you know the pentagons plans to invade Afghanistan were approved on September 10, 2001?

Its true look it up.
Also look into Haliburton, the money trail is often a good place to start to learn more,
so is here.

How can drug production in America be at the level that it is? After all, not only do we have millions of military members, but we also have millions of law enforcement officers.

The number of military men and women in Afghanistan number in the thousands, not millions. Think about it, and be realistic about your expectations. If we can't solve the drug problem here, what makes you think we have a chance in a foreign country with a fraction of the personnel?

Well, readings show that the opium is used to fund CIA covert opperations. Sounds pretty true when you think of the fact that we spend tens of MILLIONS of dollars to "get rid of it" and only shrunk the production by 2% when we first got there. Seems to me like if we wanted to get rid of it, we'd just plow it all under....but the CIA needs its money so...u do the math.

We didn't invade to prevent opium production. We can't stop it because our "allies" in the war, that is, the local chiefs and war lords are in charge of the opium.
