Depends on the size of the memory card and picture resolution. Your manual should list the approximate amount of pictures for each size/resolution.

Hil is correct, but you've GOTTA buy a memory card soon! You should have at least a 512 MB card and a 1 GB is even better, especially if it has an accelerated write speed. You can get these things in brand names for under $50... Even something like a 256 MB generic card that costs only about $15-20 would be immensely beneficial to you until you can afford a better card.

If your camera uses an SD style card, check out a 1 GB Sandisk Ultra II card. This card is available from several vendors on eBay for $35-40, including shipping. I see it on Amazon for $45, with free shipping.

Only about 6-10 pictures. Ya gotta get a BIG memory card. Don't worry - they're getting cheaper all the time

Look for a shady looking character selling cameras out of the back of a nondescript delivery van on a gloomy lit street at midnight, as that is the only way you will get a camera for $30 with those features.

6mp maybe good but even with 4mp you can shoot/print beautifull 8x11inch photo. which means between 4mp and 6mp there are not much serious picture quality difference. Practically you would print 4x6" photos mostly so 4mp is even good for that.

So buy either nikon or canon 4mp digital camera and buy 0.5-1gb media and enjoy the freedom of unlimited photos shooting.

One great taste of having a digital camera is you should have freedom of limitless shooting. Imagine with 1gb card shooting 450-500 good quality pictures.

it's not the megapixel of a camera that counts how many pictures it takes.
it depends on how big of memory your memory stick has.

probably about 5-10 it depends on the picture you take. A picture with a lot of detail will take up more space than a picture with little detail.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.
