First of all,the answerer Nana is misinformed. Cleanliness is not the cure for roaches. If they find a way into your house, they will reproduce in the walls and you will have an infestation no matter how clean your house is. They can be carried in from anywhere so don't judge, Nana. Boric Acid can be purchased at the drug store or possibly the hardware store and roaches can't develop an immunity to it. It clings to their legs and they carry it back to the nest where others can consume it and be poisoned to death. It can be toxic to pets and children so spread it at the back of the cabinets under the kitchen and bathroom sinks where roaches tend to walk on their way to seeking water. You might consider pouring some inside the walls if you have access to them from the attic. This will end your problem once and for all and is very cheap.

get yourself some "Roach Proof" spread it around the edges of your rooms. Keep kids and pets away from where you put it, but it will get rid of your roaches for good. Nothing else will do the job right.

Hello Dale, my husband and I have a dog, so of course we wish roach control to be safe, too. We have had EXCELLENT luck with Combat Bait Trays. We find them at Walmart, or other grocery stores.
You never touch the poison, and neither do your pets. They are trays that attract, and trap roaches, then poison them. We throw them underneath cabinets, and stuff. Places where roaches hide. Of course, put them in places where your pets cannot reach them. You don't want your curious pet to find them, then tear them apart with their teeth. - Duch
