here is the deal on rebates. Companies love offering them because it saves them money.

a large percentage never send them in, but of the ones that do many are sent in incomplete (declined), the product doesn't actually qualify (declined), they are advertising, and giving out rebate forms past the valid rebate date (declined), and of the few that are valid, and show up on time, automatically decline a chunk of them. If the people complain, (very few do) send it through. That way you think you are getting a deal because you see the low price, but the company is the one saving the money

The only rebates I have ever gotten back are the ones you file online.

I bought a cell phone one time, mailed in the rebate. They refused to send me the rebate since I used blue ink instead of black.

whenever I remember to send them in I do get them. Luckily many companies now offer a way to check for the status of the rebate.

If you follow the instructions EXACTLY, you should get the rebates. I do. It takes about 4 months or so, but you do get it. I make photocopies of the stuff as proof that I sent it in.

Get them about 3/4 of the time. Avoid tiger.com rebates.

some of them YES but most of them DON'T
for me personally, i dont like the idea of the REBATE thing. if they want to give us discounts, give it to us right away! why do we have to wait and sometimes for nothing. i think the government should do something about it.

I've always received mine. You just have to be sure to provide them with everything they ask for...receipts, proof of purchase, etc.. So long as you've got everything in order, you shouldn't have a problem. It can take awhile to receive them at times, but as I said, I've never NOT received any that I've sent out.

You need to follow every direct perfectly on time. They don't make it easy. Got two, but on one had to send additional information. You don't get them fast. Frankly they factor very little in my buying decisions.
