Yes you can.
For instance, Barrett's esophagus, or other genetic mutations.
It is very rare, but a possiblity.

Unfortunately, you can.

However, since you are staying away from nicotine exposure, it sounds like you are doing the right things to try and stay away from it. I know there are other environmental factors, but I also know that smoking and chewing are two of the worst offenders.

We had a family member die from it some years ago. He had no exposure of any kind to anything that is known to cause it. He was very young, and the doctors were really amazed, but he got it anyway.

The fact is that your body produces cancer cells all the time. Everyone's body does. Healthy immune systems just normally take care of them. The sad fact, however, is that you cannot "cancer-proof" yourself. Live as healthy a life as you can, and try not to worry about it too much. Stressing over it is like stressing too much that you will be hit by a car while crossing the street: it just leads to a weakened immune system from too much stress. And you are only 20; please believe me when I say you will have plenty of other things to cause you stress in the future.

In fact cigarrette and tobacco increase the suseptibility
to many kinds of cancer not only the nasopharyngeal or learingeal cancer but many other type of it.
The good news is, you're so young and you can simply quit smoking. Start a sport and see the miracle.
Good Luck

Cancer is an abnormality of cells. Statistically there is a chance that everyone COULD suffer from cancerous cells, with or without the use of tobacco or other products. The use of said products may or may not increase the probability of suffering from cancerous cells, dependent upon which study is referenced.

Probably, because there are other factors like genetics or mutations in the body that can cause all kinds of cancer pretty much anywhere (in the body).

Yes. If you're suspicious about anything, don't mess with it, go see a doctor. I thought that lump in my throat would go away. Well, it did, after I had chemo. Please don't wait, get checked out. Best wishes.
