Ray ~
I sure hope not. In my opinion he's done, yesterdays news, but his ego will not allow him to retire. The man has money and he somewhat still has fame, so you'd think he'd just walk away from the sport which gave him all of this, Nope! His ego is so big it's distorting his judgment. Ego's, my friend have none to kill men, start wars and yes keep a boxer in the ring way too long. There's been some talk of maybe since Tarver looked so bad in his last fight that Roy might want to fight him yet again. I've always thought, now this is just my opinion, that Roy was an incredibly gifted athlete speed, power and phenomenal ring generalship but he never had a chin, he was just so fast that nobody could catch him square on the chin, that is until his body grew like his ego did and became just that much slower and was getting caught with shots he normally would have avoided years ago. It wasn't that Tarver was that good or Johnson, it was Roy's ego. Roy just fought against "Prince" and beat him. So what? Who was he? It sure wasn't the singer, that's the only "Prince" that I know of besides "Prince Hammed" but he still in jail in England for almost killing a guy in car accident after a night of drinking. Roy Jones is a no-sell, did you see the commercials for the "Prince" fight? It looked like two high school buddies got together and took their families video recorder and shot the whole thing in the parking lot of your local Sip n Save for extra credit in Art class. Thanks for the question Ray.

Roy Jones Jr will fight again for sure. He schooled Prince Badi just a month ago. He should fight by next Feb but his opponent is yet to be known. Peter Manfredo Jr is a possibility. I reckon he'll fight the winner of Woods v Johnson which is tommorrow.

Jones Jr gained their first journey-up. Jones Jr had an rather effective newbie career even as Hopkins replaced into doing dirt in the streets of Philly. Hopkins replaced into nevertheless at an newbie element even as those 2 fighters met the first time. It replaced right into a good adventure for Hopkins to wrestle a Jones Jr that replaced right into a lot ahead on his career. Hopkins persevered to learn and benefit skills in boxing. It replaced into very unlucky that those 2 fighters did not meet even as they were both on actual of their video games. Now... i trust the tables have grew to develop into on Roy Jones Jr. Hopkins nevertheless has more effective in the tank than Roy Jones Jr and it is going to instruct of their wrestle. that is going to be a aggressive journey for the first 0.5 of the wrestle, yet Hopkins rugged form will tire out Jones Jr. Hopkins via UD

Roy Jones did fight "Prince" Ajamu Badi. He won a unanimous decision, winning the NABF light-heavyweight title, which could set him up for a title shot in the future. After the fight though, Roy did say he wants to fight either Joe Calzaghe or Glen Johnson. It would be interesting to see if he still has it in him to beat elite competition.

Roy Jones won that fight in july. Im sure hes gonna fight again also. Im betting his next fight will be hopkins. They both won there last fight and both are semi retired. Why not bring them out for one last big payday, or one last run at a title.

I seen an interview where Roy Jones said he would be fighting again. He has to because he is a champion.

with every great athlete, there is one major problem - they never know when to hang 'em up - Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Jerry Rice, etc - they all tarnished their legacy with poor performances when they should have been retired - For Roy's sake, I hope he retires - he has gotten the shitt kicked out of him the last few times he's fought - I want to remember him as the best fighter ever pound for pound but if he keeps gettin' dropped, that will change

I hope so, I am looking forward to him fighting for the cruiserweight title and being one of the truly great fighters of all time. That's all that's missing in his resume right now. I would have liked to have seen fight and win the welterweight championship in his early days when he started out, it would have been awesome.

He is an old shell of himself. Time to retire before getting hurt.
