People with sepsis can live for a long time, there isn't a specific answer because it depends on what is causing the sepsis. Whether it is pneumonia, toxic shock, etc.... each has a varying length of life left with no treatment.

Sepsis is a very severe condition and should be addressed immediately. As to the prognosis of the patient, this is an unknown due to not knowing the extent of the reaction.
