he has really nice hair and normaly lets it grow to his knees before he cuts it.he looks hot with his hair long and cute with it short.but his hair has caught fire 4 times and hes really clumsy and acident prone but stuborn.

no, you don't tell a guy that kinda thing. just set up an "iccident" or more like an "accident". like, apply some hair spray for him and have a romantic setting with teacup candlelight on the floor. make sure you guys sit on the floor and since his hair is vulnerable to fire with flammable material such as hair spray on it - his hair will be on fire again and TADA, before you know it, he's clean-shaved when he lost all those hairs of his.
p/s: make sure a fire extinguisher is ready in case the fire gets too big. kids - don't try this at home.

Say honey, I really like your hair, but to your knees is not in style right now or ever. Just let him know your true feelings, and hopefully he will get the picture. Having that long of hair and being accident prone is not good. Maybe you being scared for his safety will help him realize he needs it cut. You could also show him some pics.

Just be really affectionate about it. Say, when you're just spending some time with him, move the hair away from his face and kiss him unexpectedly (while still holding the hair.) Then just be like, "Mm, I love your hair when it's short. When do you think you're next going to get it cut?" or something like that. Make up what you want, but make it as a compliment, not an insult.

I am not sure what you would like for him to do? Short or long? And what is he doing aroung fire anyway? Plenty of people have long hair and don't get it caught on fire...not unless they are walking on hot coals, spending too much time drinking or drugging, or tending the fireplace while not getting enough sleep. What is his story? I like my guy with short hair and I tell him how much I like to touch it when it is short and groomed. You need to decide- short or long?

yeah, I'm afraid the long hair guy look is so out right now, what's really in is the neat clean shaven look... get some magazine pics of some celebrities/models that look really great with their hair short and tell him he'd look great like that. tell him that he would look really sexy with his hair cut short and you'd give him a special reward if he cuts it :-) you could sign him up for "what not to wear"...or watch that show with him, they're always cutting long hair on guys and they look so much better afterwards.

dude your hair is way to long lets cut it and see what you look like with a new look. Suggest he cut it shorter so he won't get into many accidents with it. You really worry and are scared he might get permanently hurt. Barfingly gross and mushy I know but it is his head (literally) we are talking about.
Or you can rave about how hot he looked when he had waist length hair
