Just thinking about it... I am watching something on the History Channel related to it. Does anyone believe that it can tell what is to come, etc.? They say it leaves relative times as to when the End of the World is to come, but then again, there are writings where it says that the time of the Armaggedon is not to be known.

Any thoughts?

The Bible Code is basically gibberish. Similar patterns can be found in any large book.

I've been a Christian since the 70's. Not a big deal, but I have seen a lot of really foolish beliefs come and go. It was thought that various Psalms had encoded predictons in them. Jesus was going to return on about a dozen different times (most recently 6-6-06) for various reasons that really did not make sense. The 'planetary alignment' or the Y2K problem were God's judgements. The 'name it claim it' idiocy, the sheparding movement, and more came and went.

There is an aspect of faith that makes many of us particularly suscpetible to certain kinds of cons, scams, conspiracies, 'short cuts', '3 easy steps' teachings, etc.

The Bible Code (as well as the DaVinci Code) are just the current topics of fascination.

God had the Bible written for everyone. The lowest servant to the college professor.Everyone can understand it by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Why would He put things in code so that"the chosen few"only could get it? He has revealed all in those 66 books we call the Bible. In Revelation the 7 thunders utter something, that The Angel says not to reveal yet.Other than that,it's all been said most of it has been fullfilled, and we are waiting for the final couple of chapters to conclude(Keep an eye on the Middle east that's the barometer).Peace out.

There are also supposed to be secret codes in the painting of the last supper.
No we cannot say when the End of the world will come for sure that depends in part on the actions of the human souls as to wither we hurry to it or try and slow it down by following the teachings better.
In one sense we each face our own Armageddon when we die .
yes there is a writing that says that the time of the Armageddon is not known . Jesus said . And none shall know the day of my coming For I shall come as a thief in the night to Judge the living and the dead.

I've seen a show where scientists take any random book and using a computer they can find codes in it that supposed predict the future. Read The Bible Code book. You''ll find they made predictions that didn't actually come true.

No, I don't believe it. The proper term is "B S ". They have not "predicted" anything yet, only after the fact.
