microgram and milligram the reason for the two is some meds only need to be taken in very small doses as overdoses can have serious and some times fatal consequences hope this helps gorbalizer

I don" know: that"s why I'm asking Does it say on the bottle? I "m taking vitamin B12 and I don" know the relationship of mcg or mg: What about 1500 mcg. I only take one pill: should I be taking more? I have dementia: weigh about 110. How many shoud I be Taking? I take a Centrum also

Thanks for your answer about 1000 micro grams in one milligram. I'm taking Biotin and the indication is one tablet a day. The bottle says "extra strength 5000 mcg" which means I'm taking 5 milligrams a day.
