Should we not believe in an intelligent designer when we, with all of our intellectual capacity and technology cannot figure out how to get rid of a stupid virus (sorry to correct you) such as HIV?
Should we not believe in an intelligent designer when we, with that intellect before mentioned, cannot figure out how to keep bacteria from becoming resistant to our medicines?
The complex dynamic physical rules that you speak of do not come from our own electromagnetic mind. The rules that control the dynamic physical reality around us are well beyond our control. Life, death, gravity, etc... Yeah, we can cheat them for a while, but we can never break them or control them.

At one time the Earth had a place called the Garden of Eden which was a paradise. Then Adam sinned, and since then we no longer live in paradise. The fact that life itself exists shows intelligent design. Have you tried to make a brain lately? The theory is that anything can happen given enough time. But time is not intelligent, intelligent design cannot happen by accident. Nature tends to degrade rather than show complexity. Everythign around you in nature is either degrading, or is growing. Without life, everything degrades.

Intelligent Designer is a maker of good products.
Good when the product is used as it is rightfully intended to be used.
But when a good product is improperly used for bad purposes then would you still expect the intelligent designer to be responsible for that?
HIV is a product of irresponsible human act and I am just amazed how you can use such complex words trying to impress people here of the words you used not knowing it makes you less knowledgeable of what you are saying.

Biological weapons can certainly imply design also. I'm not sure that I follow your logic.
Obviously the "design" can be tinkered with, since we humans have successfully done so. Entrophy can break down the design over time (by introducing errors), and a malevolent being can also interfere with, and change, the original design.
BTW, this might be nit-picky, but HIV is a virus, not a bacteria.

One note: HIV is spread more by heterosexual intercourse than by "sticking parts of their body in places they didn't belong!"
Cris C, Where have you been? The virus has been traced back to a simean virus in Africa which then spread to man most likely from eating the flesh of the simean not having sex with them. These people were heterosexuals then when it began in Africa. Yes, the gay population may have spread it quickly in the U.S. because of promiscuity but they have taken measures to prevent the spread in their community. Now it is spreading in the heterosexual community. HIV doesn't discriminate. I also can't remember reading when the last time was I heard about someone contracting HIV at the hospital or dentist's office. That was well over a decade or more ago. Measures are taken to prevent that from happening now in those environments. Yes, people need to wake up and start educating themselves!
The closest known cousin of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) has been identified among chimps living south of the West African country’s Sanaga River, allowing scientists to pinpoint where the germ jumped the species barrier to people. The findings by an international research team fill a "missing link" in the evolution of HIV, the cause of the world’s most deadly infectious disease with an annual death toll of more than three million.
But that is beside the point here. I don’t think homosexuals invented up some kind of virus to infect themselves with and spread around to the general population. Seems to me that the one denying anything here is you. You seem to be putting the blame of the spread of HIV on one particular social sector which isn’t fair; when in reality it is spread by humans regardless of sexual preferences. Even though the disease itself didn’t begin in the homosexual community. HIV doesn’t discriminate. We are all sinner’s in this world, Homosexuals should not be blamed specifically for the spread of this disease and that appears exactly like what you are trying to imply here. Guess what! Homosexuals aren’t the only promiscuous people in this world! We heterosexuals are as well, if not worse! Also, don’t pat yourself on the back so fast. I wasn’t backing you up on it. Nor was I denying anything! Never assume anything! I think you are using this venue to pass judgment on a particular group of people. If that is the case, judge not less ye be judged. If that is not the case and your intentions are not to put the blame on one particular group of people then I offer my apologies.

Nature doesn't regard life with any respect? Are you serious? Nature is the GREATEST respecter of life. All of nature is designed to produce and sustain life.
PS - HIV is a virus, not a bacteria and you probably shouldn't try to use an entire weeks worth of words from your "word of the day" calendar in the same sentence without knowning what they mean.

HIV is a virus. You're confusing HIV with the Black Plague. The Bubonic plague was bacteria borne.I, for 1, do not believe in intelligent design.I believe that Nature will keep things in check provided we don't screw this planet up any further.

People have to be very seriously deluded to believe in all that Intelligent Design waffle.
Religious people need only hang on to and champion simple and unapologetic human faith to stand head and shoulders above those who take the ID route to a complete loss of credibility.

intelligent design is the best theory but remember Darwin was not completely incorrect as all life does mutate and evolve proof is in every day life, and eventually man will evolve again and build a resistant to the HIV and then it will evolve and the circle will continue.

Another inane question displaying the ignorance of those who still choose not to believe....
Sorry, you'd be more credible if you knew that the Human immunodeficiency VIRUS (HIV) is a virus.... not a bacteria.
Read a book and get a clue.
