Ok here is one you're 16 get your sorry ungreatful little behind emancipated, file your deportation papers and see if you can find a country that allows you the freedoms you have in the United States...or maybe you are one who would like to run around having a man tell you when you can shower, when you can eat what you can wear how much skin you can show. If you hate this country so much here is an idea. Duck tape your mouth shut turn off your little cell phone, cover your entire body, move out your parents house, but don't you dare ask for a scolarship, or public assistance, don't procreate, don't drive and don't you dare write or say another word unless it is your visa papers to leave because that is what MY family, friends and loved ones fought and some died to protect. With out this military and country despite some of the ill natured things, is the very reason you get to do whatever you want at 16 and post stupid things to irritate people and cry and whine about your little boyfriend who left you blah blah blah. Get a clue sweetheart or give me your address and I will help you pack and pray some county will let you stay!

Kudos on expressing your opinion.
But I disagree.
You may hate this country, but you live here. Chances are you're recieving (or have recieved) a free education. Now, I'm no rocket scientist, but if you plan on moving away from this country, you'll need an education to pay for it.
I'm willing to bet that you won't leave, though.
I don't care.
These people are joining the army because they want to. There is no draft. You're right about that. But if no one fought this war, we'd be in a sad situation right now. They wouldn't have stopped at the Pentagon & The World Trade Center. It would have gone much further.
They are heroes. They die over there so that you can sit at your computer and complain about them.
You don't agree, and that's fine. I just think you should at least show a little respect.

Well, they all don't go over there, where ever that is. I guess you haven't considered what it would be like if everyone felt as you and no one would put their life on the line to defend you.
I'll be glad when you're old enough to leave. But I'm betting at that time you'll just have some other excuse to leech off those who are willing to go fight, and continue to live under their protection.
Evil does exist and there are people out there who want to kill us, you can deny that reality all you want and live in a dream world where everything is safe and you don't need an army to protect you. But you can't make your dream world reality, sooner or later you will have to face it.

You have the right to write this crap because you live in a country where young men aren't required to join the military like they are in Turkey or Korea. You have that right because of someone else. Freedom is not free. Most of the troops that are overseas aren't fighting they are helping other. Do you even know anyone in the military? Just because people support the troops doesn't mean they support the president's decision to send them to war. Remember it was the military that was there helping those people during Katrina. The Coast Guard worked day and night getting the residents of N.O. out of harms way.

I know you say you are 16 but you act like a 10 yr old. I hope on your 18th birthday you will find a country you love & can be proud of. Try France or Canada - they like military haters. I would usually cut you slack but my son is an Officer & Ranger in the US Army & yes I am proud of him. He could die trying to defend you & you think you got a brain for Christmas. Return it for defective parts. Is that ragging enough?
The constitution does not give you your freedom, the US military does each & everytime they defend it.You would have no freedom if the military did not stand between you & every terrorist & communist country - you could be British, Japanese, German, Korean, etc. You are an ungrateful spoiled brat, but I bet you have heard that many times including from your parents.

Can I assist you with your deportation papers? I'm sure another country would be happy to take you off our hands so you could go be an ungrateful citizen somewhere else. We live in the BEST country in the universe. I studied overseas for 6 months and literally, literally kissed the ground at JFK airport. I was THAT happy to be back on American soil. Have you ever visited Normandy, France - saw the beaches in Saving Private Ryan? Touched the sand at Omaha beach? Saw the smoking ground at 'ground zero' post 9/11? I guarantee with utter certainty you have not...and until you do, be quiet and thankful for ALL the lives that were given so you could give your rant and opinion.

First of all, I'm a soldier in the US Army. I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's what we fight for. Your right to say that you don't like the country that you live in. I have been to Iraq and only a soldier can understand the purpose of dying over there. When at war, it's no longer about why "why we're here" or "is the war right or wrong?" it's about that soldier directly to you left and/or right. That SOLDIER didn't die for no reason. He died so that another soldier could go home to his wife and kids and I almost died doing the same.

Let me say I respect your wishes to leave when you are of age. There are many who would rather criticize everything about this country from the comfort of the freedoms our military has gained for them through the shedding of blood and tears. There are not many brave enough to actually leave, and see for themselves if the grass is actually greener. I have traveled to many lands and countries. While I am not ignorant enough to say that our country is better than every country - I do know that we have opportunities and freedoms that some people would die (and kill) to have.

Why are there so many ungrateful people leaving in America? Oh yeah.... because they have the right to live here and feel what they want to. Maybe you should move to a country that has little freedoms and then you will see why we LOVE the UNITED STATES so much and why some BRAVE men and women feel it is their duty to protect her. (THE GOOD OLD USA)
