I really like this guy and I cant go for an hour without thinking of him. He is really nice and cute and funny, but he is 2 yrs older than me. I am way too shy to ask him out but i need to do something because I have liked him for 4 yrs! I just dont think he would pick me to go out with because a bunch of people like him.

I would say that all depends on how old you are. If you are over 17, then it doesn't matter about the age difference. If you are under 17, then obviously there is potential for trouble. As far as other people who like him, so what. If there is to be anything between you two, you NEED to let him know you are there and you are interested. Let him make the final decision. If it's meant to be, it will be.

If you are a girl: and you are afraid to talk - write him a letter expressing your interest in him.
A lot of other girls may like him, but that doesn't mean that he wont like you. He probably doesn't even know that you like him.
You never know... He may want a girlfriend or relationship.. not just girls to simply like him.
As long as he doesn't already have a girlfriend - your chances are good. But, even if he does have a gf, you can still like him -

just try and spend more time with him. flirt a little, let him know your interested in him without saying it, and see where it goes from there
