A quiche is a savory, open top pie made of eggs, milk or cream, and anything else within reach.

Here is an easy one:

Ingredients:
6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1-3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup Bisquick baking mix
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Place first 4 ingredients in quiche pan. Blend the remaining ingredients for 1 minute and pour in quiche pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. Allow to stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

You can change the types of cheese to give this quiche a different flair. Taco cheese recommended.

Quiche can be made in a variety of ways. You just put anything you would normally like in an omelet like ham and cheese, or you can go vegetarian and add things like sliced mushrooms, fresh spinach, diced zucchini and yellow squash, and some salt and pepper. Just scramble about a dozen eggs with a little milk mix in the ingredients you choose and pour in a 9 inch pie shell and bake it on about 300 degrees for about 30 min or until it is cooked all of the way through. You may choose to cover the edges of the pie crust with strips of foil for the first 15 or 20 minutes to ensure it doesn't burn. If you like you can make a cheese sauce to put over it for and extra boost of flavor. Heat some milk and melt some grated cheese (a mild cheese like Colby is best.) Use a mixture of flour combined with a little vegetable oil stirred in slowly till it reaches the consistency you want, also add some salt and pepper and maybe a little fresh parsley chopped well. Cut the quiche and put it on the plate and spoon a small amount of the sauce over it right before serving.

That would be quiche - like an egg pie. Start with an unbaked pie crust. In a bowl, whisk three eggs with one cup of milk. After that, it's up to you what you add - diced veggies or meat, onion, etc. and whatever spices you want. Put the veggies and meat in the pie crust. Pour over the egg and milk mixture. Top with about a half cup of grated cheese - cheddar, or whatever. Bake at 350 for about a half hour - check to see if it's done by inserting a knife in center. It's done if the knife comes out clean. When you take the quiche out it's all puffy, but when it sits for a few minutes, it will come down. Let sit 10 min, then serve. Great with salad.

Perhaps why you haven't found your answer it's because the name is mispelled. It's Quiche. There are a lot of varieties of quiches, so I got you the Basic Quiche Recipe.

2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 C. mayonnaise
1/2 C. milk
2 eggs -- beaten
8 Oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
grated

Note: Swiss cheese may also be used, or a combination of Swiss and Cheddar cheese.

Combine all ingredients well; a wire whip works best. Add whatever vegetables you desire (broccoli, spinach, onion, peppers, mushrooms, etc.) and/or whatever meats you desire (bacon, ham, cold cuts, shrimp, etc.). All meats should be cooked and cut up or chopped, as should your vegetables, although they'll cook slightly during cooking of quiche. Pour entire mixture into a ready to bake pastry-lined pie pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Cooking times will vary, depending upon amounts and types of ingredients added. Quiche is done when top is browning and center has firmed up. Cool slightly before slicing, to allow quiche to firm up.

Use your imagination to design your own special quiche.

Its quiche. It used to be called refrigerator pie until yuppies discovered it in the late 80's. Its a great clean out the fridge food since you can put almost anything in it.
Essentially you take a pie crust and put whatever you want in it. Then you take an egg/cream mixture and pour it into the pie shell and bake it.

3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
10 ounce ( = 284 g ) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

6 ounce ( = 170 g ) herb and garlic feta, crumbled
8 ounce ( = 225 g ) shredded Cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Saute garlic and onion in butter until lightly browned, about 7 minutes. Stir in spinach, mushrooms, feta and 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon mixture into pie crust.
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into the pastry shell, allowing egg mixture to thoroughly combine with spinach mixture.

It's QUICHE

Definition: [KEESH] This dish originated in northeastern France in the region of Alsace-Lorraine. It consists of a pastry shell filled with a savory custard made of eggs, cream, seasonings and various other ingredients such as onions, mushrooms, ham, shellfish or herbs. The most notable of these savory pies is the quiche Lorraine, which has crisp bacon bits (and sometimes gruyère cheese) added to the custard filling. Quiches can be served as a lunch or dinner entrée, or as a first course or hors d'oeuvre.
