Who are "they" to you? Think before you open your mouth.
On Sundays most TV stations have a religious program or two. It is what people want to see on Sundays. During the week it is brainless, non-funny comedy junk, soaps, Law and Order type shows. That's what people want to see during the week.
Does that look like people are interested in serious stuff.
No after a days work people want to be entertained that is all. Entertainment comes in many different forms and for a variety of ages.
