It cannot be explained, because the story of Adam and Eve is a hoax.

Where did she come from. After cane killed abel he was sent off and all of a sudden it says he had a wife and she was pregant. How did she get on Earth if it was only Adam and Eve and their 2 sons.

The bible does say where his wife came from. And any answer would be pure speculation, that is, groundless.

Remember this, the narratives found in scripture are not exahaustive. They were never meant to be. Any attempt to fit ancient narrative, intended to show lineage, into a precise geneology, is doomed to failure.

It is as dj says, the import of the passage was to show when man began to call upon the name of the Lord. In fact, reading samesame's response got me thinking (that can be a horrendously funny thing sometimes) that it doesn't say that Cain was the firstborn anywhere in scripture. Like the verse addressed by your question, it is mere speculation to state that Cain was the firstborn of Adam, when there very likely could have been hundreds born prior to the birth. It would be entirely likely that what is of importance, is that with the birth of these two particular brothers, the sin of murder was introduced into a race of beings in steady decline since Adam and Eve's rebellion.

Romans 3:19-24
3:19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under 1 the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God. 3:20 For no one is declared righteous before him 2 by the works of the law, 3 for through the law comes 4 the knowledge of sin. 3:21 But now 5 apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) 6 has been disclosed – 3:22 namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ 7 for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. 3:24 But they are justified 8 freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

Before the fall, people (Adam and Eve), were designed to live forever. They lived in a garden where they were vegetarian. Before the flood there was protection from the sun. The theory is that they didn't have genetic faults, and thus their children could have children without genetic defects. Noah had three sons, each of which had a wife. So if you start from there, there should be three different lineages to follow.

Even if you believe in evolution, the fact is at some point the first human was born to a previous being (Ape, etc.) on the evolutionary level.

Most likely, the offspring from this one mother mated with each other as a result of being different.

Adam and Eve or Evolution, I am positive that incest was rampant at the begining of humans.

Also the bible is full of stories of incest as well.

The answer is ..the law was not yet written ..it did not come till moses ..today we would call it incest..but now we have knowledge...and we have the law which God put in place..SO yes Adam and Eves kids had children and brothers married sisters or cousins and so on ...but still no son would get with his own mother or daughter her own father...it was mostly brother and sister..or cousins

It was only Adam and Eve from the beginning..and they had kids and so on and so on...God bless

There was no law then so it was not considered incest. GOD told them to be fruitfull and multiply and so that is what they did. Later own when there were many people on earth, he brought in the law . Then mating with ones RELATIVES was a sin.

Well it's all very simple, Steve Guttenberg went back in time and mated with Eve who later gave birth to twin girls who then both mated with Adam, when they became adults of course. Adam and Eve had three daughters together, whom each also mated with Guttenberg and so on and so forth. That's right, we all descended from Steve Guttenberg.

They mated with their siblings. Adam lived for some 900 years and had many children with Eve. I was not considered sin at that time to interbreed, as there was no other choice to populate the Earth.

Adam and Eve are still believed to be the first of all. Try asking yourself whether it is true first. Then explain.

Anyway, if every human came from them, you probably need to have incests all the time whenever you chose to have sex with someone. All the same.

BS anyway.
