I am not sure what I do have. I have chronic pain 24/7. At times it is a 9 to 10 on the pain scale. There are alot of times, I can hardly move. I can not walk but maybe 10 feet or so, I can not stand very long, I can not even sit for a long period of time. I have to recline or lay down.. I am not getting much sleep either. I wake up with pain, or I should say, the pain wakes me up... I have done some reading and it does not look like Lupus. This is more in my joints, low back pain which is chronic. It NEVER goes away.....If you can give me some insite , I sure will appreciate it.

Your symptoms sound extreme...you should really get checked out by a competent doctor who knows how to diagnose (or exclude) fibromyalgia. I have got it myself and find that one thing that really helps is a viscoelastic foam mattress. They are sold at very high prices under the Tempurpedic brand, but there are far less expensive ones made of the same material. These mattresses are very supportive and promote good sleep, which reduces pain substantially for me. Good luck.

You should see a rheumatologist, they would be able to run the appropriate tests to check for other diseases first. I have had the same problems since I was 16, they finally diagnosed me with fibromyalgia at the beginning of this year. There is no cure for it, but taking ultram and getting the proper amount of sleep has helped me immensely.

Do what some of the other folks have suggested, and try to find a support group in your area for Fibromyalgia. Several of the larger hospitals, etc. might sponsor one.
Hope you get some relief!

I'm wondering if you have seen a doctor for this. It could be so many different things. Since we don't really know what causes fibromyalgia, there is no "cure" but there are certainly helpful treatments. Get some help!

Try finding a massage therapist who is trained how to treat fibromyalgia. It won't cure it but will give you some relief.
