Sigh. Being an athiest does not mean you cannot believe in anything spiritual or otherworldly. It just means you do not believe in any kind of gods or goddesses.
So, if you are an athiest, you can still believe in demons as long as you don't believe they are related to Christianity or any other religion.
I do not use Ouija Boards, though I have in the past. I believe they open doorways for malevolent spirits or ghosts, and I don't want to mess with that. I have had friends who have had bad experiences with Ouija Boards.

I don't believe in any of the following:
-the zodiac
-ouija board (or whatever it's called)
-any of a wide range of superstitions (Yes, I'm the one who will cross the street TO go under a staircase, to make people panick).
-some people bring bad luck.
-some attitudes bring bad luck.
-ghosts (as real beings. I think they are valid imaginary beings, meant to expunge people's fears)
-witches
-satanic possession, or satanic whatever.
-god.
What's left?

Being an atheist does not mean you can believe in supernatural things. Why would you think it did? If "atheists" are talking about demons and stuff then I think "strong" atheists like me would say they weren't atheists. (I've met non-believers (in God) who believe that after death we float about somewhere looking down on the living - utter nonsense).
"Being an atheist does not mean you cannot believe in anything spiritual or otherworldly."
Actually, it does. Full stop. Don't define the beliefs of people whose beliefs you do not really understand, or want to.
Your answer to atheists who seem to say that they will consider the possibilities of ouija boards, demons, pixies, father christmas or their own invisible friends - they need to go back to atheist school. They are non-believers - not atheists. For once, Nikki (since you genuinely seem to be being less offensive and more inquisitorial in your questions), I hope this clarifies things.

I'm not sure about your question, whether the comments you cited were yours or you were quoting someone else.
As far as the statements about atheists believing in the supernatural, in devils and demons and at the same time not having to believe in a god or gods, it is a bit contradictory. It's like saying I don't believe in the Christian God, but I have no problem believing in all of the other supernatural things that surround Him. I don't believe in trees, but I like believing in the leaves and flowers and fruits they make. See my point? The center of the spirit world is God. Devils and demons are creations of God. Remember, Satan was one of God's most glorious angels before he went bad, as well as the other demons (fallen angels)?
I think what this amounts to is a person wanting to acknowledge the existence of the supernatural as a way of spirituality or enlightenment, but not wanting to obey the rules and commandments of the god who created all of it to begin with.

Beliefs of atheists can vary...the only commonality is that we all do not believe in gods. ALTHOUGH I think the large majority do not believe in things like demons, etc. If the person who posted that claims to be an atheist, believing in things "otherworldly" is more the "exception not the rule" so to speak...

You can believe or disbelieve in whatever blows your skirt up. However, if you believe in spirits and demons and ghosts, you are not an 'atheist'... you are something else. I'm not sure what that might be... you might start trying to figure it out by looking up synonyms for 'wacko'.

An atheists could believe in demons if they wanted to, but it wouldn't make sense. As for where demons come from there could be forces that have not been discovered yet.

If someone believes in the supernatural and not the spiritual, it sounds like a sort of payback against Christians. Christians believe in the spiritual but not the supernatural.

Tell your Friends their are playing with something they may not understand. Ouija boards are a portal to Demons! Demon's were angels that sided with Lucifer in Heaven's fight. 1/3 of them. After this fight God threw them out of Heaven. I think they realize they goofed and are mad. Because they know they can't be forgiven, but mankind still can.

Being an atheist, I do not believe in supernatural things. I believe in what is logically provable, and supernatural things are not. Frankly, you have to either be a child or mentally incompetent to believe in supernatural things with no proof of their existence.

I told you in your last question. I have used the Ouji board when I was younger. It does nothing. People either move it intentionally or subconsciously. I don't believe in demons or angels or any crap like that. Stop generalizing.
