Don't you mean you want to get out without gaining weight? If you follow the instructions, take it very slowly, and stay active, I cannot imagine you having any problems. Of course, I don't diet -- I just try to eat healthy all the time. Good luck!

I did this only two months ago! Atkins was making me sick, and I hardly had the energy to take care of my 6 month old! I just stopped. You might gain a few pounds for a week or so, but if you don't freak out and keep exercising, after that week you should be back at what you were when you quit Atkins. If you want to eat bread, Sara Lee makes a low carb multi-grain braid with 9g carbs per slice... they make 5g carb multi-grain tortillas/wraps... try introducing these things first to get you started and keep eating lots of veggies. I stayed away from high carb fruits at first, and just had cantaloupe if I wanted fruit. I also cut out all that cheese and fattening foods Atkins allowed you to have. Now I am just eating a normal balanced reduced calorie diet and exercising, and I'm still losing weight after quiting Atkins!
The scary thing about it is, it makes you so obsessed with carbs that it can lead to eating disorders. I actually did induction for 3 months, and I was so afraid to go off of it, every time I tried a week later I would go back to the beginning again. Good luck with your transition! Just remember not to give up, that scale won't stay the same - maybe even try not to weigh yourself that first week it can be scary after all the work you've done. But I promise it will go back down!!!!

forget Atkins and all those other quick fixes ... it's really simple to lose weight .. you can safely lose 2 lbs a week and keep it off .. that's 104 lbs a year .. eat :lots of vegetables, fruit ,beans & lintles ..stop eating anything that comes from a box, can or jar .. limit your meat to 4oz's per day , drink only water ( devide your weight x 2 = oz's of water per day ) it sounds hard but in a short time it becomes a life stile and you get lots of energy.. the two lbs is just an average , I lost 30 lbs in the first month ,, look if your hungry eat an apple.. if your still hungry eat an apple ,salad , orange , bannana , pineapple , etc ,, eat as much fruit or vegs as you want ... good luck!

Try balanced eating habits with fat and protein and carbs in 3rds, and exercise and you will lose weight. Also refuse to participate in anything with the word DIE in it.

Better talk to your doc, you could really hurt yourself if you don't do it right.
