My daughter has a 2 month old kitten. Its very playful and has a good appetite, seems healthy but has a dry nose.
I'm not too experienced with cats. Is this normal?

Funny I have four cats and I never really paid much attention to their noses being moist or dry. I found two of the cats and the 15 year old male had a dry cool nose and the 4 year old male had a cool moist nose. Anyway I would say as long as the cat does not feel hot, or sneezing a lot, loss of appetite, or starts becoming nonsocial, I would not worry to much about it. Hope you and your daughter enjoy many years to come with your Cat. Also attached below is a good source to bookmark for cat health, may find something in there as well.

Dry, but not too dry is OK as long as it is not hot. Moist and cool is best, but dryish and warm is usually not to bad if the kitten has a healthy appetite and is playful. Make sure it has access to fresh water most of the time. If it gets hot and crusty call a vet.

I assume you're addressing those of us owned by our cats, not the cats who own us.

It's usually cold and moist. If it's warm and dry, he could be having a momentary cold. Keep checking him and take him to the vet if he seems off his feed.

Cats are mostly sturdy little furballs, and I wouldn't worry until you've got something to really worry about. So, not yet.

Yup....dry is fine. My cats have a dry nose. If it gets to be flaky or crusty or anything like that then I would take it for a vet visit, but dry to the touch is ok.

as long as its not very warm and its acting normal, eating normal. at 2 months your kitten is due for shots so when you go to the vet ask just to be safe.

As long as the nose isn't very warm and dry, it's perfectly normal.

Call a vet but I think it is okay. Probably just needs more fluids.
