I am for stem cell research. If I had an embryo and I did not want it implanted I would not it put in some one I did not know. If I had been implanted with multiple embryos and they said 4 or 5 or 6 took and I needed to abort some of them to give the others and myself a chance to survive I would hope that the ones who did not survive could ve used to save some one else.I wonder if the people opposing it could tell how they would feel if if they or some one they loved broke their back and became a quadriplegic how they would feel knowing that regeneration of the spinal cord is one of the things that stem cell research was researching.

I think it's wrong for people to kill embryos to get stem cells--embryos are still real babies--just not entirely grown yet.
however, I think that using stem cells gotten in other ways than killing embryos (like from cord blood, bone, skin, w/e) is a great idea. Those stem cells are not as versatile, no, but they are still quite useful. Scientist have even cured diabetes with them before.

I agree with adult stem cell research, they have already cured some paralysis with it and they are making huge advances. yet the only stem cell research you hear about is embyonic stem cell research, which a child has to be killed in order to retrieve them. Embyonic stem cell research hasnt made any progress, yet this is the most widely supported research. it is a waste of time.

I support it. My aunt had Parkinsons and was one of the first women to have the fetal implant surgery. It didn't work for her, and she later died, but I always believed it would help someone and it has.

This kind of research is so important for many lives and many diseases. The fetuses used would be "disposed of" anyway and saving a life would make their demise seem less sad.

It's fine. It's carefully monitored. My one hope is that crazy organizations don't try to clone humans and ruin it for everybody else.
