First off, I'm posting in order to make Xtians question themselves - nothing against homosexuals.

If God is perfect, then he should only create perfect beings.

So if homosexuality is imperfect, then I can imagine a "more perfect" God that only created straight people.

Xtians may say that God works in mysterious ways and that I couldn't possibly understand the grand scheme... fine.

I can imagine a more perfect God that didn't work in such a mysterous way and who made the grand scheme more understandable.

It's time to admit that God creates homosexuals because there's NOTHING UNNATURAL ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY

God did create perfect human beings, and then we didn't listen to what He said. Read Genesis 3. We are not supposed to be able to understand everything about God's plan. If we understood His plan perfectly then we would be God and that's not possible. God did not create homosexuals and here's the proof:

In Genesis 19:1-29 the cities of Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because the people were so wicked. The men of the city wanted to have sex with other men. So God's judgement on the city was to destroy it by raining down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Leviticus 18:22 (speaking to men in Israel) "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders...will inhereit the kingdom of God."

1 Corinthians 6:13 "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."

1 Timothy 1:8-10 "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers."

I'm just sick of reading verses on here that people pick out of the Bible. You have to read the whole chapter folks. You have to understand that the word of God, is not all the word of God. Paul wrote against it several times, yes - but the context,THE CONTEXT is just as important.

I am baffled at the stupidity of some of these so called "Christians." If you're going to preach, you need to get your ducks in a row. I will gladly discredit your rediculous statements based on my knowledge of Greek and Hebrew. It's like other things;

It's a sad fact that the truths of evolution are undeniable and oftentimes, Christians find it difficult to accept that it is possible that evolution is part of the creation process. World religions since the very first civilizations have created their own stories of how the world began, but it is our unfortunate disposiiton to be in such a new country founded on such secular beliefs. If you study world religions previous to Christ, you will be amazed at the stories found within their faith...they will look familiar. The Bible, being translated upon the request of King James brought about a new order of interpretation. As we do today, the laws, social expectations, were translated to fit the need of the time. In the same section that Paul speaks against homosexuality, he also mentions that women she not speak out in church, and many other abominations that nobody wants to discuss. A heterosexual minister with the Episcopal Church presented an awesome sermon breaking down the biblical passages that pertain to homosexuality, by this minister going over the chapter instead of reciting the verses, the bigger picture was seen by the congregation.
There are tribes in Africa where the male must have a wife and a male companion. Native Americans honored homosexuals and looked at them as special healers and/or allowed them to work beside the women in their daily duties. Ancient Rome, the nobles had young man servants who done a little more than served coffee.
Our ignorant culture hides many truths and understandings. You have to ask yourself, why do the most educated folks, especially those of the hard sciences, choose not to believe in God. Things to consider.
I will be glad to forward the sermon fore mentioned if anyone would like to read it.

In the same passages it speaks against homosexuality, it also mentions that men should not sleep with women so many days after her cycle and we should not eat red meat....it's gotta be well-done CHRISTIANS or you're act is an abomination to the Lord....read the whole damn chapter and quick picking verses to suit your agenda.

If God had to be perfect by making everything else perfect, then nobody would ever get sick, or die, or be unhappy, or get hurt, and it would never rain, and it would be a perfectly sunshiny day every day in fantasy land.
Do you get it now?
God is perfect. People have free will. We live in reality, not fantasy land. If everything was perfect all the time, faith and God would be unnecessary.. Why would you create a world where you are unnecessary?
If people didn't need God, then God would have no opportunities to show us His greatness, His love, His compassion, His faithfulness. And we would have no opportunity to choose Him.
Homosexuality is rooted in psychology, not biology.
Practicing it is a sin, but we are all sinners. Practicing Christians are supposed to turn from sin, but we are not perfect, just forgiven. We are able to lean on God for help, support, and guidance.
Therefore, if you are having problems with homosexual desires you should turn to God for help and support, and seek the help of an experienced psychologist. It is possible to turn from. Difficult, but not impossible. People do it more than you know.

To go further the same group states that all that happens is God's will. That being the case, ones sexual orientation would be preordained and predetermined as part of a master plan. The same group is then ostracizing those who exercise what was predetermined by their superior being.

Homosexuality is not unusual in the animal kingdom. Chimpanzees (we share 99% DNA) can and do in some individuals in the wild exhibit homosexual activity. Read any of Jane Goodals books. In the Shadow of Man is one. Hell, go to the zoo, its embarassing.

For some reason some people see it as a threat. There was no Adam and Eve or Steve for that matter. There have and will always be a percentage of the population that is homosexual and it seems to be the greatest threat to those who are likely repressing leanings in themselves.

Not so sure about your last statement. But in answer to any question concerning behavior that is out of the norm and judged to be off the wall by some, it is just that, by humans.

God did create a perfect idea, and that idea is forever developing and identifying his/her true nature with God. In the course of our creation God gave us free will, and under free will we are free completely to be, do, whatever we desire. We also answer for it in the long long run of eternity.

If homosexuality is ones highest concept of Spirituality, then that is the starting point of learning. As is it with all our human concepts.

There is everything unnatural about homosexuality, and GOD did not create it. God made us and all animals for that matter to be attracted to the opposite sex, otherwise He would have made it so men can get pregnant and give birth as well as women.
Homosexuality is from your father Satan, and he has duped millions into thinking it is natural. You fools cannot see what is so obvious as homosexuality being from Satan, it is no wonder you cannot the truth of the Bible.

God didn't create homosexuality, man did. Because of sin, there are many things wrong and immoral in this world. Just because God allows something to happen doesn't mean he agrees with it. God allows cancer, and other terrible diseases, he allows all the bad and good things in this world. He gave us all free will and free choice, he has a plan, he knows all and is all. God Bless!!

Amen. You can't have it both ways. Either God is imperfect or homosexuality is natural.

If we are all sinners, who is above God to judge which sinners are worse than others? Who is to say which sins are worse than others. There's as much against infidelity in the Bible as homosexuality. Why don't we legislate that no one can remarry? Why is that judged less a sin and leave that sinner to suffer no social consequences?

Isn't picking and choosing certain biblical passages as having more credence than others making a judgment about the Bible more so than a credible reason to cast those who are different as inferior?

Perhaps the point of free will is tolerance of those who are inherently different than thyself? Perhaps free will is about accepting that others are naturally born with different characteristics and traits. For example, being left handed was once fervently believed to be sign of the devil by the righteous (read history). Today, that's considered crazy.

The expression of innate sexuality and the expression bigotry are both exercising free will. Which is less in keeping with Jesus's message to love thyself?

'Nuff said.

LOL good luck, the Bible says that gays are wicked and God is perfect so both must be true because the Bible is the word of God. It is hard to make the blind see, that is why it is classified as a miracle.
