won't matter because I would no longer exist. So what could I do? Now on the other hand if there is an afterlife then I would want the best possible afterlife I could have. So I believe that if I am a good person in this life the afterlife will be a better place. If there is no afterlife as least I was still a good person in this life and will be remembered as such hopefully leaving a good memory for those that knew me.

If there is no afterlife, then How would you know it being dead? I mean this makes no sense, but the only answer is NOTHING because DUHH, your dead and incapable of thinking, talking, etc.. What will you people do who when you die and find out there IS an afterlife? Think about it, if you're correct then your dead and that's that, but if not, then eternity is a LONG time to live in torment and punishment just because you refused to acknowledge the only forgivness for our sins.

Even though I do believe in an afterlife, if this did happen, I would not be able to think about wether or not I liked this idea, or if my choices were bad becuase I would not exist. I wouldnt think or do anything becuase there would be no me to think or do. It would be empty, meaningless nothingness. If it was proven now that there was no afterlife, which is impossible but just if it happened, I'd probably look back on my actons as actions of willpower and determination; nothing to be looked down upon.

Well, we would of live a life that was one to be proud of, one full of always trying to be better than our last mistakes, always looking outside ourselves and to those beyond our field of vision. We would actually of live a life of relative peace with an unbelievable since of hope for ourselves, our loved ones and the world.

And...guess what...if we died and there is no afterlife, WE WOULD NT KNOW..lol

Then i at least know i had lived a good life. I tried to be the best person i could be, i helped and loved others, i fed the hungry,i wrote or visited those that are sick or imprisoned. I did the best i was able to be a positive person in my life and others. But think of this my friend what if you find out the Bible is right . How will you feel? What will you say to Jesus when he says he doesn't know you.

Well since the alternative is nothingness, we wouldnt ever know.

What would you people of atheism do if you died and found out that there was in fact a god that wanted you to follow him?

The atheist always stands to lose more in the afterlife anyway you slice it. (unless Satan is god of all) then he would punish everyone!

One would have to have some consciousness to have found out that it was a hoax.

That is, if I died and then found out ANYTHING, that would be something I found out in the afterlife.

If I died and there was no afterlife I wouldn't be able to think anything because I would be dead. What about if you die and there is an afterlife? You will have all eternity to think.

A better question would be..what would you do if you found out that your unbelief was false and the religious people were right? Either way, we're still better off in the end. Our faith helps us through life now and makes it easier to bear. If we are wrong in the end, so be it. It doesn't stop me from believing til then. If we are right, you're screwed.
