My daughter is 13 years old and she has friends that are supposedly going out with boys. I would ask her, "What do they do when they go out? ...She says that they do nothing..they are just known as boyfriend and girlfriend. I;ve seen one girl who is "going out" with this boy and she doesn't even talk to the kid. What is that?!?! (and I've witness this)...To my knowledge from when I was a kid, who went to the movies, or out to eat, hung out at the park, went over each others houses, etc. Is this some kind of new thing going on today? They are going out but yet they don't do these things.......I don't get it. No dates????

My daughter tells me everything..she's even standing right next to me. She;s curious about what other people have to say about these weird relationships.

i remember being a freshaman and i had a boyfriend,we went to the movies, i was nervus so i took my cousin along with us we sat thru the whole movie and did not talk at all. it took until the movie was almost over before we finally held hands. he drove us back home and he left, that was it. we passed notes in school, inbetween classes. that was the whole relationship. i don't even remember breaking up.

lol, yeah, um funny that you ask your daughter. Don't ask coz you're going to annoy her, she's going to get better at lieing. Better check out some teen blogs to get a hint.

To me, they are way too young to be thinking about dating. Going out in groups is fine but not alone. Why rush kids to grow up? They shouldn't be thinking about dating, peer pressure to have sex, etc. Let em be kids.

they can't even drive, how are they supposed to go out on dates? it's just a silly game really. "going out" means you are boyfriend and girlfriend. you hold hands at the lunch table or you walk to class together. Like I said, it's just a silly little game.
