Exactly. I believe the Bible contradicts science, history, mathematics and itself far too often to be inspired by God. Your question doesn't contradict any known facts, or itself, so that, by definition, would make it more valid than the Bible. The only source that says the Bible is inspired by God is....the Bible! Of course it would say that. If I were to right a group of books and letters that were to be the foundation for a new religion, I would want to say something like "Okay, hey guys, this book here, we're going to call it the Bible. It's inspired by this guy, he's called God. He's perfect. So follow what it says or you'll go to hell because God hates it when you don't follow this book." I'm sure that would make at least a few people follow it. And gradually over time, the people who don't follow the group of books are wiped out or converted, and the only authority to go against are the followers of that book. So it's follow the book or die because of it.

The inspiration of the Bible has so much more to it than that. God has authority and the Bible has authority because God wrote it. You do not have that kind of authority.
Because the Bible is true in all matters to which it speaks and contains no error, it is infallible. Thus it is a sure and certain guide for life in this fallen and sinful age. With the regenerating work and abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer the Bible can be understood and followed. There is no other literature or set of ideals that provide certain direction for sinners. Since it may be trusted as being God's inscripturated speech, it is authoritative as the textbook for life. What it says we must hear and heed because it is the work of our Lord and Savior. As believers we are not only bound to its clear teachings but to every good and necessary reference that can be drawn from its pages. It alone is our authority for faith and practice.

Bible as Inspired Word of God. Why we say so? From the Bible alone? No. By fact.
It was written within a spend of 1400years, and more than 40 writers, yet all having the same theme and goal. None contradict each other.
Many of the text were parallel to the historian text, and some were more accurate than the Historian finding. **
So,if you John S, have another 40 odd people to write something more than these 2 lines, and all space out within let's say, . . . 200 yrs will do.. If none of the writing contradict each others, we can talk about if yours is inspired by any of your gods. . .
How about that?

John Smith told everyone in detail about the conversation he had with God, then when they asked him to repeat it, he told them "ok, it may not be the same thing I said before, but it'll be somewhat similar". If God had really talked to him, he wouldve been able to repeat excactly what he had said before. The Bible is inspired by God not just because The Bible tells us so, but also History. When God speaks to people, it becomes obvious by that persons actions that he reaaly spoke to God. Like Moses, or Joan of Arc.

The Bible tells us our history , our present lives , and our future.Does the thought of Heaven make you happy .Do you hope to see your dead loved ones again one day . I know I sure miss my dad . I can't wait to see him again when my work here is done .Please don't make light or fun of this idea it's called faith . You know what love and faith is ? It's hope for a better, or at least equal , moment to come that makes you feel complete , secure and happy .The Bible can teach you how to love .READ IT . I suggest starting with proverbs to give some modern cross reference ability , just use your mind to apply the verses to your life scenarios. To answer :your question only provokes one thought . The Bible , along with prayer, answers all questions and helps you to grow .

probably the real proof of the bible is that all the diciples were cowardous prior to the crucifiction of Jesus. Following His ascention they went out and boldly preached. If the accounts were a hoax, those diciples would have gone into hiding forever. Especially since by preaching they knew they would be put to death .

If you are going to make bombastic claims, don't be lame about it. At least do it with style. Otherwise, you are just a bore.
