Ive got a swollen throat, sorta feverish, ear hurts a lot. No unknown lumps or anything. Whatever antibiotics the doctors subscribed arent working. What do you think I have? How serious??

My son just had basically the same thing, very sore throat, high fever, ears hurt. I took him in and they did a strep test which came back negative. He also had swollen glands. They were thinking it might be mono but you can't do that test until a week after symptoms first appear. Anyway they put him on antibiotics and after two days he is better but very weak.

sounds like an ear infection. How long have you taken the antibiotics?? Maybe you need something stronger. Usually the course of treatment is 10 days....has it been that long??

sounds like strept throat. and doctors dont subscribe medication, they prescribe medication
