There is a series of books entitled, "Conversations With God", which are supposedly real dialogue between God and the author. Is it all real or made up? If it is real, why would God choose to communicate exclusively with the author as opposed to choosing someone else?

I think its real, and we can ask "why did God choose him and not someone else?" however, at the same time we could have asked "why did God choose someone else and not him?" only the Lord knows why he chose who he chose, there are other books similar to this, such as 90 minutes in heaven, the story of a priest who died for 90 minutes and tells the tale of the things he saw in Heaven, I also believe this one to be real as well

We may never know. Many people can accept God talking to ancient people, but not modern ones. Today if anyone says God talks to them, a lot of people think they are insane.
I haven't personally read those books, so I cannot fairly comment on that author. Who's to say that 2000 years from now someone will find a crusty copy of that book series and proclaim that God did indeed talk to the man. People believe all kinds of things, and for each one of us, it is truth as we see it. I don't honestly know if there is such a thing as absolute truth.

Sometimes God speaks to certain chosen people. All throughout the bible God chose certain ppl, it could be made up, but if this guy really is a Christian, he probably wouldn't lie about stuff like that..

Do you know the story of Joan of Arc? She claimed that God came to her and told her that she was going to run that army and lead them to victory. she did, but a lot of other people tried and noone else could do it. But why did God speak to her if she was just going to be burned at the stake? God chooses certain people that he knows can handle it and do what he asks of them.

The author probably made it up or is insane either way God didn't talk to him.

I imagine that if the author really believes god is talking to him, a mental disorder could explain it.

That was the authors interpretation of his understanding of God just as all religious text are. Meditate, pray, contemplate deeply and write down your interpretation of the Truth. We can all do it and God will communicate through anyone willing to truly search.

God wrote his letter to man (the Bible). Anything else is from Satan, no matter how beautiful the packaging--remember, he is transforming himself into an angel of light in order to mislead the entire inhabited earth.

You gave two choices... real or made up. I think they are the wrong two choices. The actual choices would be made up or schizophrenia.
