Get a water bottle and set it to the "stream" setting. When the little cat goes after the older cat spray the little cat. This also works for training the cat to not climb on things that you don't want her/him to. Also this is much easier since you don't have to yell or swat at the cat and you can do this from a distance. The water will not hurt your cat or furniture and it does work. When I did this I would hook the water bottle to my front pocket so I would have it with me at all times and I did this until the kitten was trained.

You need to introduce them to each slowly. Keep them separated a good deal of the time, and only have them together when you are there to keep an eye on them, and if the younger cat attacks the older cat, banaish the younger cat to another room (with a door that you can shut). Make sure they are not fed in the same spot (cats can be particular about this), and they absolutely have separate bowls, and separate litter boxes. They also need to both be fixed. With time and patience, the problem can be overcome.

I have had cats for my entire life, and have introduced many, old and young, to each other. I do not approve of spraying cats with water. Time and patience are all you need, and if you are to be a responsible cat owner, they are necessities.

Keep them away from each other for a week and while they are away from each other teach the cat stuff that is good and things that are a no no, or whenever the little cat does that yell in a mad voice NO! to it and eventually the cat will stop.

I would agree with the water bottle method and also that eventually they will learn to tolerate each other. May not be best pals but will be able to live in the same house. Sounds like the younger cat is showing it dominance over he older cat. I used to have a Russian Blue (Lovey), One of her baby's (Fancy) that was only a year and half younger at the most, and my tuxedo cat (Eric now 15years old). The Russian Blue would whip up on him all the time. Run him out of the room and hiss at him. It got to the point that Eric learned to sit at the entrance of the room and would not come in unless we went and picked him up and brought him in on our laps. It was really sad but we loved all three cats and could not separate them. The mother never attacked her baby even through adult hood. Eric is the only survivor now. Both Lovey and Fancy developed breast tumors and we had to eventually put them both to sleep. They were 12 and 13 years old. We now have 3 additions and each time Eric would hiss and show his distaste to each of them. Now you can find all four of them in a ball some days cleaning each other. So you never know, your younger cat may come out of it, or the older cat may bow down, or they could even become buddies. Its to early to tell. Remember yelling at a cat or hitting them are noneffective. The water bottle is by far the best resort.

Get a squirt bottle and whenever the little cat starts going after the older one give him a little squirt. It may take a few dozen times of squirting but he will get the hint.
