when a fetus is in early stages of development, lets say 3 weeks after you have conceived.. its not developed near enough to be a human.. so if you aborted then, that would be eliminating the possibility.. well, when you use a condom, that is eliminating the possibility also.. just curious about this. i know some people will give a paragraph about human life and such.. and if you go off, and say all kinds of negative stuff. i always think thats funny, so go ahead..

prevention and elimination are two different things, but with the same outcome.. also.. who says you are not eliminating that change of being pregnant when your guy slips on a soc.. you are still eliminating those possiblities..

a fetus is developing organisms, and scientists do not consider it in such early stages to be human yet

hey rachel, there is no beating heart in a 3 week old fetus.. and do you ever think some people don't care if they abort a baby or not.. everyone has their own reasons, just like you have reasons..

I agree. We can only hope that the people that are so against abortion have it happen to themselves. They need to shut the f*%k up. They have NO idea. Ignorant idiots.

Ha ha ha. . . . you say the fetus isn't human well let me ask you. I f it is not human then what the h$!! is it. From a strickly scientific standpoint it is human DNA within the cells which compose your fetus, therefore those are human cells, and because the fetus is a bunch of human cells all working together it is a human organism (Which scientifically speaking is all any of us are)

The debate lies in the political relm where pro-choice advocates are questioning whether or not the fetus is a "person" or whether or not the fetus has a "soul." Yet in the end there is no way to prove scientifically that any of us is a "person" or has a "soul" this is only a debate among individuals who all have individual beliefs and debates which are totally ungrounded on science.

Therefore you see the debate does not lie in the scientific community (If you ask any compatent scientist he will admit the fetus is a human organism) rather the debate is a political one about what rights a Human Organism deserves. Or rather at which point this Organism gains or loses it's rights.

Well, with technicalities aside, I believe that the subject of abortion is more about how we feel about it and not the tech mumbo jumbo.
I myself am against abortion, but I do not judge those who have them, it is not my place to judge....it is the Creator's job to do that.(phew!)
I certainly wouldn't want to be the judge. Anyway, I believe that there is a reason for everything! There are many wonderful stories out there to back up that theory as I am sure you've all heard. There is one story that comes to mind right now. There is a man, who is seen on TV everyday. He Told his story once, about his being the product of rape. He said that he struggled with that fact, for a long time. Realizing just how strong and couragous his mother was to have bore him anyway. She believed that since the conception has happened then, there must be a plan for this little being, and that she was chosen to be its mother. Now this Man is grown to be a God fearing Reverand , a model husband, and works steadly to help feed the hungry and clothe the needy, to have the sick medicated and crusades around the world all for the poor. This man is Rev. James Robson.

Actually, an unborn baby's heart IS beating at 3 weeks after conception. Most abortionists will not abort a child before 7 weeks due to the risk of "incomplete abortion" (parts of the baby being left inside the mother), and the average age of an aborted child in this country is 10 weeks. By 10 weeks, the child has recordable brain waves, little fingers and toes, and all her organs. She can suck her thumb, grasp an object placed in her palm, and feel pain. If you're going to argue about abortion, you need to make sure you have all your facts straight:

The fetus has the same DNA that it would have as a human adult (including the genes for brain structure and ability to reason). Therefore, we eventually may have the technology to determine whether each fetus would support the right to choose or not as a human adult.
Then each fetus should be treated according to whatever belief it would have as a human adult.

So you support murder of anyone...just elimination..same thing.

Whether something is wrong or right doesn't change because it happens to me or I was raped. Those things change my desire and wish for it to be right, but it's still just as wrong. But simply really wanting something to be ok because I want to do it, doesn't make it ok.

You do err, fetus ""is"" human. If you use a condom, there is no fetus (not that condoms are the ultimate answer). Abortion always stops a beating heart.

The anti-choice crowd would criminalize masturbation if they could. If you adhere to their logic, you could claim an unborn fetus on your tax return. You could take out a life insurance policy on a blastocyst. You could insure a zygote.

That line of thinking leads to ridiculous conslusions.

Anti-choicers can't have it both ways.

People know before they make the decision to engage in sex that they could potentially become pregnant. No birth control is 100% affective. People should be able to take responsiblity for their actions. If you can't deal with that fact that you could potentially get pregant by engaging in sex then you shouldn't have sex, it's as simple as that.
