You don't. Don't attempt it, it's not healthy. Rapid weight loss can have cardiac implications. A healthy weight loss rate is 1-3 pounds per week.

do you really want to kill yourself.Losing anymore then 1 or 2 pounds a week is unhealthly. So look for a 1 or 2 pound weight loss at the end of the week. Don't sound like much? You can lose 5-8 pounds a month! That's around 75lbs a year! So if you have A LOT of weight to lose, you can lose it. If have just a few pounds to lose, you can lose it. it you try to lose 17 pounds in a week, your skin will be deformed and you will get fat again after two weeks and your body will lose a lot of vitamins and minerals and you will suffer the consequences to the end of your life.

FIRST OFF... Losing 17lbs in one week is near impossible and extremely unhealthy. No matter what you do you will not lose 17lbs in one week. You can try starving yourself, running 15 miles everyday while lifting weights for one hour, you can eat fish and asparagus or just drink water and it still won't happen. Even when people change their diet and begin working out it takes time to lose weight. Your body has to reajust to your new routine. You may not lose 17lbs but you can tone up and have glowing skin if you are dedicated.
If you did 30mins-1hr of fast-paced walking or jogging along with light weight lifting, drinking half of your weight in oz. of water per day-(ex:120lbs=60oz water), and if you stuck to a healthy low carb diet . You could definitely tone up and drop some pounds!
Some healthy foods to eat are:
Carbohydrates- Lettuce, Broccoli, Asparagus, Celery, Sweet Potatoes, apples, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, steel cut oatmeal.
Protein- Egg whites, Low Cal/Fat protein powder, Chicken Breasts, Salmon, Halibut, Lean Ground Turkey Breast.
Fats- Avacados, Almonds (Raw), Peanut Butter
Remember to portion your meals. Fist sized for each portion. Don't starve yourself, you will end up gaining more weight afterwards. Your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto anything it can and store it as FAT. Eat about 4-5 small meals a day.
I learned this trick. Let's say you want to weigh 120lbs. then you add a zero to the and of that number and that is how many calories you should take in per day. So that would mean 1200 calories for the day.
It's not about how much you weigh but how good you look and feel. It also takes dedication and discipline. I hope you do it the right way! You'll feel accomplished and proud afterward!

In order to lose 17 pounds in a week you need to burn about 60,000 more calories than you take in. Since most people would consume only about 2000 calories a day and exercise could total maybe 1000 a day .... well, you see the math ... if you ate nothing and exercised a lot, it would still be really tough to lose 17 pounds .... and certainly dangerous and not at all healthy. Don't even try!
Start recording everything you eat and all your exercise to determine what is a sensible goal for you. These sites should help you.

As you start to realize what you are actually putting into your body, hopefully it will make you more aware when you are shopping and read the labels before you buy. Also take note the portion size. Most people don not and think they are eating healthier but are adding to the calorie count by a bigger portion or light products in a much bigger portion.
Secondly, to lose weight fast you must create a deficit in the calories you are taking in. How to lose weight fast: You can do this through diet, but you can actually do more harm if you do it drastically. It is our human nature to survive and our body will respond accordingly. If you don not feed your body enough it will think we are going through a famine and store what it can to survive. When it stores food it is stored as fat.
To do this properly, remove the junk from your diet first. How to lose weight fast: Foods and drinks like sugary snacks and sodas should definitely be eliminated first and secondly processed foods. Then start to look at your portion size. Believe it or not you can have too much of a good thing. After you have done that and are recording your intake, start cutting back a few hundred calories to create a deficit.

Why would you want to do that? There are ways to do it, but they all involve getting severely dehydrated, which could be fatal. But here's how to do it:
1. Take out a very big life insurance policy, with me as the beneficiary.
2. Make your funeral and burial arrangements.
3. Don't drink any food or water for a week.
4. Get extremely dehydrated by exercising in a hot room for hours every day.
5. When they weigh your body at the autopsy, it will weigh many pounds less than it did before you committed suicide by dehydration.

Here are a couple things to help:
1. drink a lot of water
2. don't eat fast food
3. don't eat after 7:00pm(eating later at night makes you gain weight-so I've heard)
4. exercise
5. Be constantly active. I went to a volleyball camp for a week and I lost 10 pounds.
6. And don't forget to eat healthy

I doubt it is possible to loose that much in a week no matter what you do. Unless you weigh more than a couple hundred lbs. either way you get very sick, or die. A good rule to remember is times your weight by 13, this is an average number of Calories you use each day. Times this by 7 for a weeks worth. Now subtract 3500 for each pound. Divide that by 7 and you will have your calorie intake for the day.

You'll achieve your goal of losing weight thru a well balanced diet (80% alkaline foods meaning fruits/vegetables and 20% acidic foods daily), regular exercise (three/four times weekly 30 minutes each), and drinking 8 glasses of water daily. However, I'll go one step further to show you the best and quickest way to lose weight so that your entire system will achieve a balanced pH and not be depleted of the essential minerals that it needs. Here's why.
As the typical American diet is mainly acidic, except for most fruits and vegetables, it is close to impossible for our body to attain the alkaline levels that spells good health without the proper nutrients. This being the case, it is very difficult to lose weight unless you monitor closely your body's pH. Let me explain.
An acid pH has considerable influence over the majority of weight problems, including Diabetes and Obesity. It seems that a habitually acid pH can directly cause immediate weight gain. Here's what happens when a system is too acid. A condition known as Insulin Sensitivity or Syndrome X results, which forces too much insulin to be produced, and the body is flooded with insulin so that it won't waste any calories, it diligently converts every calorie it can into fat.
It is thought that an acid pH immediately signals the powerful genetic response to an impending famine, directly interacting with the all important and very sensitive, Insulin- Glucagons Axis. This makes the body produce more insulin than usual, and in turn, produce more fat and store it. In general, the more insulin is available to the body, the higher the probability that fat will be produced and stored, rather than used and burned as energy.
Thus, an acid pH will probably alert the genetic response to famine, directing more insulin to be produced and storing more fat than usual. Conversely, a healthy, slightly alkaline pH, will be more likely to yield normal fat burning metabolic activity, making no demands on the body to overly produce insulin and make fat, allowing fat-weight to be burned and naturally lost. And, with a healthy pH, there's less likely to be any yo-yo effect, or rebounding from a diet with additional weight gain. As long as nutritional stores are maintained, a healthy, slightly alkaline pH allows fat to burn normally for energy, rather than being hoarded under the mistaken biochemical belief of an impending famine.
The best way, though, to drink 8 glass of water daily is to mix it with Xtreme X2O, a natural and organic, coral calcium with 70 trace minerals, which transforms the pH of the water beverage to 9.9 (highly alkaline)!
You may ask why not just drink plain water? The answer is: When you drink lots of water, all of 8 glasses daily, it does not have the essential minerals (calcium, magnesium with 70 trace minerals) that your body needs to elevate its pH and therefore, alkalize your body as the pH of plain water is rather low and very acidic (pH < 7.0).
If you would like to know what your pH level is, let me know. For more info, check this site:

Top weight loss tips
Today there is too much information available on losing weight that has become more confusing and sometimes difficult to follow. It’s actually very easy to lose weight if you follow my weight loss tips.
* Be in right frame of mind
Before you can start any diet program you need to be in the right frame of mind. If you do not feel good about yourself you probably will not want to choose healthy foods. You cannot expect the act of going on a diet to make you feel better about yourself. The only way you can choose to eat a healthy diet to lose weight is if you have a positive self-image.
* Eat whole food
Top weight loss tips
Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine.
* Eat fresh fruit
Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season.
* Drink enough water
Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up.
* Always chew your food
Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion.
* Take small meals
Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal.
* Include protein at meal
Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.
* Shut off TV while eating
Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories!
* Increase your physical activity
Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.

It's a tall order, but the answer has to be no food and lots of exercise.
Try a fruit juice only diet, and drink lots of water. Do some skipping, jogging swimming stretching, walking and any other exercise that you enjoy.
I'd reckon having sex every few hours would be a great help.
Good luck
