People that cause pain and show no remorse are a growing problem in our society. They often call people like that sociopaths. There are those that make mistakes out of imperfection. Later, they will come to see they were wrong and sometimes are really sorry. I would always forgive them, because I want to be forgiven by my Father in heaven. But even if they do not say they are sorry, I would pray the Lord would bless them and not hold their sin against them. If a person insists on being hateful over and over I would not subject myself to this kind of treatment and would avoid being around him.

It certainly makes me more wary of them- this question really can only be answered (for me) on a case by case basis. Certainly some people drop off my radar when I see them act like this. But I have to say, at least gloating and cruelty indicates some emotional core. I'm much more disturbed by people who never seem to feel anything, or take anything but themselves seriously.

I certainly do hate them after that, and pay no attention to their contributions. What they say has no importance.
