The people who said that the color isn't what matters are correct. It is the cut. For a round face you want a longer style with some layering in the front to add dimension to your face. It will bring out your cheek bones and also give you the illusion of a longer more elegant neck.

A pixie can be a cute style but you really have to have the right shape for that so I would hesitate to recommend that because very few round faced girls do. You don't have to have long, down the middle of your back hair, just past your shoulders will be just fine. You will also want to stay away from heavy, full bangs as they will add to the round appearance. Light, wispy bangs or no bangs at all are the best look.

For coloring if you are very light skinned never go with a dark color because you will look washed out same can go with going to blonde. Go with lighter shades like golden browns, any of the darker golden shades of blonde. Sticking with the golden shades brings more hi-light to your hair which add shine to your hair and can brighten a pale complexion.

Going red or amber also takes the right skin coloring so without seeing you I couldn't really advise you on that.

Why don't you treat yourself to a makeover and see what they can do for you. They will explain how different make ups and hair styles can work for you.

Hope this helps you though. I know what you are going through though, I have a round face too. I often compare myself to Charlie Brown!

It's not so much the color as the cut that frames the round face best - a mid to short bob
that is angled to the jaw line and layered shorter on top for hieght over the crown of your head, ballances out the cheeks and jawline. (I have this cut myself :) For thicker or striaght hair consider a razor cut for added taxture, for thin or wavy hair (like mine) scissor texturization gives the same wheightless effect.
For your color, the best color for framing is also the best color for your pallete. Since your skin is light shy away from black or really dark brown; the contrast may 'wash you out' It also depends on your eye and eyebrow color: for blues you could play with med-light reds, blondes, and copper. green does well with dark reds, golden light browns, and auburn tones, brown goes well with anything from chestnut to profound red to coppers and deep gold browns. You can play around and find what you like best with your own coloring: it's called Color Flirt from Herbal Essence, a leave in mousse that changes your color for about 2 weeks, eventually washing away.

Your goal when you have a round face is to add some definition & play down the roundness of your cheeks. A great haircut for you is the short, pixie with wisps around the face. This cut is brushed forward, de-emphasizing roundness by allowing hair to fall close to your head (any width or curl at the sides of your face only highlight your face's roundness). Another way to style this gorgeous look: Create a deep side part, smooth sections around the face & leave back messy. For more oomph, get some chunky highlights.

Must-have products for short, spiky hair:
1. A fabulous pomade. InStyle Magazine named Bumble and Bumble Sumotech the best pomade on the market. It holds hair in place without making it sticky or stiff.
2. A perfect gel. Our favorite is Phyto Pro Sculpting Gel

Hair color isn't going to change the shape of your face for better or for worse. The best cut for a round face is something long, especially in the front, to lengthen it.

It depends if you want your face to look more narrow, or simply accentuate your features. Try darker for more narrow, lighter for fuller. How about a strawberry blond? or something a little more reddish? Don't go very dark in any color - it'll just look too wierd.
Try to go to a stylist as well -- to help bring out the best in terms of a style / cut.

Hair color has nothing to do with the shape of your face. If anything, hair length or cut has something to do with the shape of your face.
