Read the manual. Try pressing various keys, like "T" to see if it brings up anything, or "`/~" in the top left hand corner of the keyboard. Or just try typing.
Anyways, read the guide and I'm sure you'll find out how. If it's a bug with the game, nothing can be done. Email the creators.
Incorrectly categorised. I'm pretty sure there's a game section.

open yahoo messenger, on the top where it says messenger click on, dropdown menu, click on preferences and uncheck the show invisable when online
