I've been eating a 1,200 calorie diet for a while and I'm not seeing any real result so I'm going to continue it but couple it with 25 or less grams of fat a day.

Anyone know of any good low fat foods to eat?

Grilled skinless chicken, tofu (can be really good w/ the right flavoring), green veggies, green & red peppers, oatmeal, "lite" string cheese, skim milk, tuna, lowfat cottage cheese, lowfat yogurt...

Don't go too low on the fat, though. Yes, it does have a lot of calories and yes, saturated and trans-fats won't help you (lose weight, I'm assuming). Get a little olive oil, avocado, almonds, or other sources of mono-unsaturated fats. "Fat-free" products can sometimes have too much sugar in them. Better to go w/ lowfat. And avoid overly processed food--veggies, fruits, yogurt, chicken, lowfat cheese, salmon, tuna, slow-cook oatmeal, nuts--those are the best. Make your own meals & snacks so you know what's in 'em.

Exercise if you are able to...even if you don't feel like it. Soon you won't want to go a day w/o exercise. You might have to up your calories to like 1400, but regular exercise, especially using weights, will help you burn calories even when you aren't exercising.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

You are doing the diet incorrectly. A low carb diet is HIGH FAT and moderate protein. Too much protein will convert into sugar and get stored as fat.... Ignore anyone who tells you that carbs need to be your major source of energy for workouts. They're clueless. You need to go as low carb as possible to lose weight but up the fats. They will keep you full and help you burn fat. Google low carb high fat diet to get a better understanding.

25 grams of fat a day is too low. You need fat in your diet. The best way to do it is use a site like www.fitday.com and go no less than 20% and no more than 30% of your daily intake as fat. Try to choose foods that are higher in unsaturated fats, like peanut butter, peanuts, sunflower seeds, avocado, olives, olive oil, etc. Just don't over do it.

Fish, vegetables, skinless chicken & turkey (white meat)fruit........lots of water......thats the basic. If you buy food that says low fat on the box or carton, it will be high in sugar. You need to stick with natural foods. Broil fish and meat, use spices for flavor and Pam spray in a flavor just spray it on and broil until done. Eat little or no beef. No prepared foods unless it says low fat, low sugar..........good luck........

Low fat yogurt, fruits, veggies, salads, turkey breast (lunch meat), etc. Also, drink lots of water and exercise! No matter how healthy you eat, you won't see REAL results until you start drinking water and exercising. Good luck to you! :)

Remember not to go NO fat. You need about 1 tablespoon of "good" fat in your food every day (olive oil, safflower oil, seseme oil, etc.)
