On the first date, do you bring anything? I think if a guy brought me a flower. Just one single wild flower, maybe wilted slightly because he was grasping it so much under nervousness, I would like that. I would put it behind my ear, to show the affection. That would be romantic.

I go to a very small school and am friends with everyone. I just thought that that idea was romantic. So if I were to go out, I would know them and they would know how to present something to me.

So what is your question?? Should you bring something?? I think that you should look cute and take some money. Pay your your half unless hi insists on paying for you. I think that guys like a woman that can support herself...
P.S. The flower would be nice too......Dont expect him to do it and dont give him a flower....ever!

I think the first date should be only to get to know each other...... its not really fair to expect a guy to bring you something if he doesn't know if he will like you or not......... but on a second date.. he should bring something if he wants to score points with the girl...... its romantic.

Just bring yourself. If something is to be brought it is the man's responsibility. Do I sound old fashioned? I am. Personally, I think if the lady brings something it could be misconstrued as a lead.

What a great idea of romance you have....
A man should always arrive with something on the first date.
Whether its a flower or a multipack of her fav chewing gum,or even a nice chocolate muffin!

Your first date should be fun. I don't think you should get so serious unless you know each other real well. If you do know each other, then I would probably bring a flower too.
Have a nice day :-)

romantic first date gestures are chivalrous and for HIM to do. most guys would actually probably feel kind of awkward about what to do with whatever you handed him on a first date. if you have a good time, send him a song via itunes ;) good luck, have fun!
