Of course...That happens to everyone, but the time it takes depends on the person and what happens. You will eventually get over it. Just be patient.
Good luck.

unfortunately I have been heartbroken... at first I thought I'd never get over it, but time really does heal all wounds. It took me about a year or so to really start to get over it. I think there's something like for every week you were together it takes a month to heal, at least for girls. He and I were friends longer than we dated, but I fell for him long before he asked me out.
I don't think you ever forget the first person you fall in love with, because he'll always have a piece of my heart no matter what happens. I've gotten over the romantic part of he and I, but I still think about him sometimes and hope he's doing well.

I told a guy that I really liked him and hoped that we could have a relationship, but he was scared off by some of my beliefs and he turned cold as ice. he is still nice to me, but I thought I would die inside. It was my first try at love since my divorce and it was a disaster. Now it doesn't hurt so bad when I see him around the neighborhood, but there is always something inside me that wonders what may have been. Take the time to feel it then move on and find someone who doesn't break your heart.

when I was 15 my boyfriend moved away and I was so upset I tried to cut my wrist with a butter knife anyway I got over it and met the man I married to now and when I look back I just want to laugh, it took me about...3 months I guess but I can't really say that because I still call him even though I've been married 8yrs and we still keep in contact, does that count as in getting over him or not?? I don't know, maybe you should tell me.

I was really very heartbroken hearted at one time. the guy who was my boyfriend at the time was cheating on me. We had been together about 3 years and I cried and cried. A very good friend told me I just needed to get over it and move on. She said that he was not crying over me so just quit crying and get over it. Honestly from then on I got over it. It took about 3 months for me to actually feel like dating again, but I did and never regretted it. Good Luck and hope I have helped
