How about this for a fault with education of youth...parents who dump their kids on the school and expect the schools to do everything. You're the one who had the kid so you should be the first one to take blame when the child doesn't turn out right.

What a question! It is assuming the fact but asking a question!
And how true it is. The system is faulty probably because our Creator has been removed.
There is much evidence to show declining test scores in public schools when prayer was outlawed in the 1960's. Many other problems came into place at the same time.
Humans are also faulty, but public education is doing a horrible job. Even if there is a good teacher, the curriculum is faulty.
It tells the children they are animals, when they are human beings--special creations! The curriculum teaches that anything they want to do is OK, even though it's not. The children are held captive, and I'm assuming the parents are naive and trusting. Why wouldn't you leave your credit card in a public school classroom??
So your credit card is more valuable than your precious child?
Public education is faulty because of:
religious, although not Christian
nah--you can have excellent result in home education (tutoring)
with hardly any money spent
Shut the system down--it was a stupid experiment to begin with in the 1800's, and it is a failed experiment.

I guess it depends where your from. I'm not sure if there is a single answer or something so simple that boils down to the four you gave. The one reply said that teachers just don't care anymore. I'm not sure I totally agree with that (again, depends where your from). I grew up in Philadelphia and graduated in 1982. I had a few in my time that didn't care. Where I live now the teachers are pretty good and the schools are good (Blue Ribbon). I do believe that the teachers are being saddled with greater expectations nowadays. With both parents working and kids involved in so many extra-curricular activities, the time allowed to really focus on one thing and get it right is dwindling. Though I just heard on NPR an interview with an author who wrote a book about the myths of homework. He was against it. He actually had good arguments but his greatest argument was in how having the kids go to school for what amounts to a full shift and then come home and put in another shift to do homework (which is ever increasing) is tearing away at the social fabric (not an exact quote).

Most good teachers go to private schools, the system is overcrowded, there isn't enough state funding, parents at home aren't taking care of their kids. Most schools don't teach science well without state funding, because you need a lab, and those things cost money. Kids with behavioral problems go to public schools and their parents either can't afford to or just don't want to deal with those issues. With the good teachers at private schools, the left overs are often not inspired. Those good teachers who do come to public schools have to make up for the bad teachers.
But, this all can be corrected by finding a good public school. My school gets much more funding from alumni than from the state, because the alumns appreciate how great a school it is. A whole new science wing was built just with money from alumns. There are some schools that separate up their students. Woodward, in my area is an example. There are three schools under it. General, Career Technical, and Languages, I think. Because the school is separated, the teachers don't have to deal with students who aren't interested in learning the subject, and the schools that need more of a supplies of something (for example, Career Technical might need more lab equipment than Languages) can afford to get it. For students with behavioral problems, there is W.E.B. DuBois, where the militaristic style allows kids who were failing in other schools to succeed there.
So if a public school doesn't have the grateful alumnis to support it, the answer is to specialize.

our eduction system is faulty because it is designed by greatest fools in India. It ignores the biological fact that all persons are not equally intelligent. The grasping power, thinking power and correlation power of individual varies greatly. a standard proforma is given which may be beyond the capacity of an average student. The world has two kind of people . Those who are interested in artistic and aesthetic subjects, the other interested in mathematical sciences. For the first group basic arithmetic is enough to attain reasonable knowledge in calculation and they can specialise in their favourite subjects like art , painting, music etc. The second group can be divided into three or more groups,
Those interested in Bio sciences, those interested in physics and those who go after chemical sciences, there is also a group which is fond of economy and financial management.
Forcing all these subjects down the throat of a growing child irrespective of its likes and dislikes and grading on the performance produces haphazard results.

Yes but not only that....one big reason is lack of parent involvement. Yes there are some parents who do more than their share of being involved but it doesn't even come close to what is needed. In today's classroom, kids have such a range of knowledge and they are all lumped in one room. Parents being more involved will help them to realize a problem before it gets out of hand. Plus some of these kids act up due to lack of authority. They cause distractions and the teachers have less time to actually teach. Now that doesn't mean it is all on the parents. Some of these teachers need mentoring due to lack of ? Teaching requires more than just the ability to get your credentials, you need to share the knowledge that you have learned. Plus you have to juggle many things. So all of the above and then some!

education system is faulty because of its wrong examination policies:---
1) See if someone is doing well for whole year and by bad luck he got stuck in some accidential affair or may caught by some severe disease during the final exams for whole year, dat will ruin his whole year by nt getting good marks or he may fail and has to re-appear,right
2) Instead of loading students with whole syllabus in a single day preparation before finals, the syllabus burden should be partitioned into semesters, which helps student to remember more things effectively rather than craming everything for a day only
Lesser the tension ,Better the results

The government is not really keen on educating masses, all the project and budgets are on papers but in reality nothing happens, education is politicised by the ruling governments, the value and standard of education has gone down in a way that people will be qualified but not educated in its true sense.

We are not truthful to ourselves.we take or make money by means of education.Sometimes we give more marks in liue of money or give tutions and sell the question papers.Like this so many things happened and so the student knows that they can get education by paying money.Even they get the false certificate by giving money.Again our education system is not work oriented rather it is more of literaure.or the history type.No one bother for this. But it is taking us to no where.
