Actually, I'm surprised that they refunded any of your money. Where I live, no receipt - then no refund, no exchange, nothing. So, to answer your question, no I guess I wouldn't be mad, but glad that I got at least some of it back. I probably would have returned just one pair and suffered only a $10 loss. I could always try to sell the sandals I kept (if I really didn't want them) to a friend, or family member, just knock off a few bucks, or just make a gift of them to someone.

I'd be mad at myself, but not at the store. After all, not to be mean or anything, but they gave you the receipt - you lost it. I don't know if Wal-Mart does this, but Target will look up the transaction for you up to three times per year if you paid with check or card. Anyways... it was a negligable amount of money. Take this as a lesson learned. :D

That is why you are given a reciept. It is good practice to keep important documents i.e. reciepts because i find this to be so true. As soon as you through a reciept or some sort of document away you will need it. Sorry for the loss though

No, because I don't think a store has to accept things back if you don't have the receipt and can't prove it was from their store. It's the customer's responsibility to keep track of the receipt or else they just have to accept what the store gives them.

I'd be grateful to get anything back if I was silly enough to lose the receipt.
