I was thinking that or pizza because my dates house is right next to Round Table and a small quiet donut shop. I chose nearby places so I can walk her home and stuff. And also would a good idea to have a walk in the park after? Thanks for your input...

Well that depends, is she going to be hungry for more than donuts? Does she think it's a "dinner date"? How about this? Ask her if she is hungry, if she has had her dinner then donuts may be fine...If she just wants to have a donut and some sweet conversation then go for the donuts...It kind of depends on if she is real hungry and needs to eat dinner or if she just wants a sweet for dessert. I know money can be tight when you are young.

There is also another idea, try a picnic, if she likes chicken or maybe just some Subway sandwiches, you could arrive with a basket, or small soft sided cooler, with something that can be served cold and some soft drinks, then have a blanket find a nice spot to sit and then you can be certain of NO distractions and you can have her all to yourself for a short/public time (not like taking her off driving in a car which most parents may object to if she is young). The picnic is an old fashioned idea, the new coolers will help you keep the food and drinks (juice, soda or whatever is her pleasure cold too! NO BOOZE IF YOU ALL ARE NOT OLD ENOUGH), but if a young man invites her to the park on a nice fall day for a picnic, the parents may even find that to be sweet too? Maybe your mother would help you, you have to know if she would like some fresh veggies and a small tupperware of ranch or dill dip and fresh fruit if you can find it, you can have the items cleaned and prepared, and it shows some thought...Then after the picnic is done, and you all have talked for awhile, take that walk back to her house, and remember to thank her for a nice time (and for letting you off without going to a fancy expensive place)...Just an idea I thought I would toss out there, it's something that you put some thought into, if you ask and know her favorite kinds of things to nibble, then she will be pleased that you listened to her, and remembered...The picnic can be a little less expensive but it is a LOT more tender and romantic.

Have fun, young love is sooooo special...I think your girl may be impressed with something like that...maybe the two of you sitting in a cool grassy spot on a picnic blanket with just the 2 of you, but it's public still...and it shows that you are putting some real thought into what she likes and wants...A lot of girls would balk at the donut place, if she lives close she can have donuts anytime...but a picnic that you have prepared just for the two of you (after you know what her favorite things to eat are) may be cheap (less expensive) and special...also a lot of younger girls do not want to eat too many donuts because they want to keep their figure slim.

Just an idea...Have fun, and I think you are sweet to ask!

In general, I'm going to say no to donuts. However, if you think she isn't the type that would get worried about things like that, then go there.

But, in general, I would have to say taking a first date to a donut shop is not going to be the most memorable experience.

A Walk is always nice, as long as its nice out and its not too long or strenuous. Taking her to a place that she lives next too maybe not be all right. Women want to feel like they're being treated, so a place that they may go every other day and see everyday really isn't appealing.

Sure. Men ask women for coffee (and no doughnut) all the time. You at least offer the doughnut-you are a catch! Lol seriously now.. it's ok. If a girl likes you she will go with you for a walk around the block, anything to spend time with you-unless she's a gold digger and you don't want one of those.

on a first date with a girl, you wanna give her the time of her life, like a gourmat resturaunt, so she'll stay with you, expecting good times each date. if you take to her to a donut place, she'll expect real cheap things every date, if there are any others.

Just don't let her eat too many doughnuts and pizza because that's not healthy, other than that it's great to do once in a while.
