of commiting suicide?

I ask because I am consideridering. I've given and taken all that I have. I don't want to be eternally cast to hell, but I've studied and have found that there is only one unforgiveable sin and that is blasephemy against the holy spitirit. Therefore, should I commit suicidie, would I be forigine?

If you are asking because you're doing research, the most common method for females is overdose. For males, it is self inflicted gunshot to head. More males succeed than females. Most females that survive claim afterwards that they are glad they failed.
IF you are asking for personal reasons. Please reconsider. I'm not going to tell you everything will be alright, because I don't know you or what you might be thinking or going through...but I'll tell you that Christmas will keep coming, people will sing, lightning will still be beautiful, the ocean will keep leaving gifts on the shore, stars will still fall.....long after you rot in the ground. there will be many things you will miss, deary....the smell of honeysuckle, softserve ice cream, funny movies, bubble baths, a stranger flirting with you in line at the grocery store, visiting the pet store to play with the puppies, giggling when the lights go out, reading a good book on a cold rainy day, watching penguins waddle at the zoo, reality TV, awesome mindblowing sex......You might not feel grateful for life right now....but that will change. So don't screw it up on a 1/2 ****** idea to end it. I have made a deal with God that gets me through good times and bad......IF he wakes me up in the morning, I have to live that day. And when I go to bed, I have to find SOMETHING....ANYTHING to thank him for. Then I sleep.....and see what happens in the morning.
I'm still here. And today, I was ok with it.

Probably an overdose on sleep aids.
Since you are asking this question I feel the need to add that if you are thinking of suicide to seek help from friends, family, or a professional....odds are, life isn't as bad as you think it is; these rough times pass and you'll be very glad later that you didn't kill yourself.

Just morbid curiosity or are you in trouble? If you are in trouble seek some help. Know that it will pass...I know that sounds trite but it's true. Take it from someone who knows. I have been there more than once but I was cured a month ago when my nephew whom I was very close to shot himself. I can't describe the pain it inflicted on those who knew and loved him. Trust me there are many many people who love and care about you. I know that you can't even imagine it's true but you must try.

Now that you said that you were serious, committing suicide is a horrible sin. The Orthodox church will not give you a funeral service unless your family proves that you were mentally disturbed. Please speak to any spiritual counselor and try to come back from the abyss.
