It seems these days that both single and married men do not care if you are wearing a ring on your finger. They will come on to you anyway. Am I the only one that has experienced this?

I haven't experienced this, but I read many studies that show many men don't worry about your martial status at first sight.

Well, if I'm married and some dude was trying to make a pass at me... I would punch him in the face and it would leave a nice mark on his cheek from my wedding ring...before kicking him in the nuts. That way, afterwards, he can look in the mirror and realize he was messing with a very married lady lol.

Very true.
But it's also up to the individual to tell the person they are talking to that they are happily married, then if that person still wants to talk to you or buy you a drink good luck to you. At least they have had fair warning that at the end of the night you are going to go home to the one who bought you that ring.

I am sure everyone is different, but my single friends check out girls all the time and always check the finger for a ring!

We live in a time where most people are selfish and only care about themselves. Seeing that they don't have any respect for themselves we really can expect them to have any respect for marriage or others for that matter now can we? I hate to say it but most guys are only out for one thing. That being sex. Usually once they get it or become bored they move on to the next victim. I just thank God that I am a Christian and my parents raised me to show love and respect for everybody. Especially women. I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me with a wonderful wife and parents who instilled in me good moral values and ethics. Peace and God bless.

Yes, we pay attention. Some men, however, don't care whether or not a woman is married.

Some guys are morons. As for me, I never flirt with a girl that's sporting a wedding ring. Why would I...it's counter-productive.

I do notice the ring. Whether I choose to ignore it or enquire the detail is up to me right? Being able to make this decision would classify my status as a person to the ring bearer!
Does this make any sense?

I actually ignore women with rings. I think of them as used pieces of trash, and make sure I don't even make friends with them. I think they should actually feel like they made a mistake by not picking me. So, I go out of my way to make them feel unwanted.

I think this is good because it makes sure I don't become a homewrecker. Also, hopefully, it makes the women feel regretful that they didn't wait and pick me (if they're good looking).

No just "these days" - decades ago, when I was holidaying in Europe I was approached n invited to dine with a dashing, respectable looking French guy. when I showed him my ring/finger, he said "so? I'm not asking u to go to bed" So .... take it from there ........... (admit, I felt v flattered tho!) but I didn't accept the invite s I didn't feel safe, alone in a foreign land
