Have you asked him this question? If so, have you trully listened to his response? The best way to know what is going on would be to ask your companion or partner, boyfriend if you will. He will be able to explain why you have not kissed or held hands. Perhaps in his mind, you are only really good friends and you have mistakenly taken this relationship to a further point from where it trully is. Maybe he has proximity issues or he just simply doesn't know when or how to do this. Have you met his family? Does he come from a loving family or maybe an emotionally distant family? This might also be a key to why he acts the way he does. I would sugest, if you really are in a bf/gf relationship that you be open with him and ask him this question personally. Not in a menacing way, but in a loving, friendly and patient way. Be prepared for his answer and do not retaliate as this will take advance you nowhere in your relationship. Maybe it may just take some guidance on your part. We live in the year 2006 and if you are wanting to kiss him or hold his hand, it will be ok for you to do so. If he feels the same for you, then there shouldn't be any problem and he might feel more relaxed by you taking the initiative. I wish you all the best, just the same. Remember, not everyone blooms the same way or at the same time. Be patient but also dare to take some initiative from time to time. Good luck!

Its neither of you but its most likely something he is hiding from you. It takes time for these things to happen but I think that maybe he is shy or just reluctant to try something new or approach you in that way and he's probably thinking the same thing your asking.Maybe this is a sign he just wants to be friends

He's respecting you and taking it slow. Maybe he's not comfortable with getting physical yet. Ask him. Also you try making some moves not too fast though or you'll scare him off. Good luck.

I think that it is truley both of you. You need to make the first move if you want him to make the next.
