Okonomiyaki is said to be Japanese-style pizza. This recipe makes Osaka-style okonomiyaki. There are lots of toppings.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup soup stock (dashi)
1 egg
1/4 of a small cabbage
For Toppings: Thinly sliced pork or beef
Squid
Katsuo-bushi (dried bonito flakes)
Sakura-ebi (dried shrimps)
Beni-shoga (red ginger)
Ao-nori (green seaweed)
Okonomiyaki sauce (or tonkatsu sauce)
Mayonnaise
PREPARATION:
Cut the cabbage into very thin slices. Beat an egg in a bowl and add dashi soup stock or water in it. Add flour in the bowl and mix well. Combine sliced cabbage in the flour mixture. Fry meat/squid/shrimps (your choice of toppings) in an electric cooking pan or a frying pan. Pour the flour mixture over the toppings in the pan.(Make a couple pan cakes.) Cook a few minutes and flip pancakes and cook for a few more minutes. Put okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise on top of the pan cakes.
Prawn and cod pie

1 tb Oil
1 lg Onion; roughly chopped
2 ts Fresh thyme; finely chopped
1 Clove garlic; finely chopped
1 400 gram can chopped plum tomatoes
400 ml Water; (14fl oz)
2 tb Tomato puree
400 g Fresh cod; (14oz)
500 g Diced potato; (1lb 2oz)
25 g Butter; (1oz)
1 tb Fresh chives; finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
200 g Cooked frozen prawns; defrosted and
; drained (7oz)
Preheat the oven to 190 C, 375 F, Gas Mark 5. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a moderate heat, add the onion, thyme and garlic. Lower the heat and cook the onion for 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft. Add the tinned tomatoes, water and tomato puree and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Place the cod in a saucepan, cover the cod with water and place over a moderate heat, bring the water to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the cod from the pan when it is cool enough to handle, flake the cod and remove the bones and skin. Bring a pan of water to the boil over a moderate heat. Add a teaspoonful of salt and the diced potato and cook for 5-6 minutes until tender. Drain the diced potato, add the butter, chopped chives and add seasoning to taste. Add the prawns and cod to the tomato and onion mixture, add seasoning to taste. Place this mixture into a shallow oven proof dish and place the diced potato on top. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. Notes Serve with a green salad or a selection of fresh green vegetables. Converted by MC_Buster. Salmon, Sole And Prawn Fish Pie
Ingredients
: 6
1 pk salmon fillets
1 pk sole
1 pk quickly frozen prawns
2 leeks
1 red onion
1 extra sweet yellow pepper
1 garlic
4 potatoes
1 mascarpone cheese
1 cheddar cheese; (grated)
1 b,chamel sauce
1 half a pint of milk
1 flour
1 butter
1 m&s unsalted potatoes
Preparation
1. Boil potatoes and add Mascarpone cheese, season to taste
2. Saut, leeks, onion, pepper and garlic, set to one side in the baking
dish.
3. Leave pan as is, add 1/2 pt milk, simmer and add fish which has been
cut into bite size chunks.
4. Poach until just cooked, 3-4 mins.
5. Remove fish with slotted spoon and add to baking dish with vegetables.
6. Add about 25 grams of butter and 2 shakes of flour, stir until you
have the consistency of thick double cream.
7. Pour b,chamel sauce over the fish and saut,ed vegetables.
8. Put Mascarpone potato on top, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, grill
until crispy
