He made other people whole.

Only he who endures to the end is saved.

His cup (his lot in life) was to become our Messiah. We can be thankful he went through the misery for our benefit.

actually the Catholics screwed the story up when they butchered the bible.. JC was a pretty cool cat.. he was married.. in fact to what the caths call a whore.. but she was no whore.. they devalued many women in the bible.. Did you know that Adam was married to Lilith before Eve came along?.. true story Now you know why Lilith is so scorned by Christianity.. I'm not saying in itself is bad.. but people interpret what they want it to say.. in fact you can find anything you want to support what ever radical view you want.. Just twist the words and read just part of it and viola!.. The bible is very large picture. You have to stand back and look at the whole thing cover to cover. then read it 100 more times..cover to cover. The more you read the more clear it will become. Very few if any understand what its actually about. It is NOT a platform for anger and hate as many use it for these days. it is written in metaphor and cryptonics.. why?.. Because humans cannot handle that much truth all at once.. When the bible quote god as saying "not one of you has this right".. he's not kidding.. in literalistic and metaphoric senses

He saved other people "spiritually" and He was saved in the end "spiritually". He was resurrected and enjoys eternal life with the Lord. He stayed and died on the cross because that was God's will. He spoke the Word of God and He followed the Word of God. He was in no way a hypocrite, but a role model of appropriate behavior.

He did not "make" people "be saved" and He doesn't Make us be saved now. We have free will to accept or reject Him. He did come to save us, if we choose to accept the gift of His grace.

Since Jesus Christ is God, the Son....the second person of the Holy Trinity....a divine person worthy of Praise... and the one that all things were made through....He doesn't need saving. Remember, He said...No one takes my life, but I lay it down freely and I also have the power to take it back up. What happened to Jesus was done according to God's plan and by His consent.

According to the Bible.. it never states that he was on earth to save himself .. so if that is what you are basing your question on .. then I would have to say , no, he was not a big hypocrite.

The bigger question: Is that all he taught people? To save themselves?

Surely he taught other things too. Save others perhaps?
