I'm starting high school in 4 days, I just got braces, and I have a killer cold that I've been harboring for 2 weeks. If anyone has any safe, quick remedies I could use to get better before school on the 5th, I would greatly, hugely appreciate it. Thanks! ^_^

The miracle for me is a mexican pill that you can buy at most any mexican store. I totally did not believe this I am white. But I took this as a last resort--For two weeks I had been taking antibiotics and over the counter meds that did not seem to help. I took one of these and felt relief within 30 minutes. The name is called disenfriol (or something close). I was advised to not drink any alcohol while taking this.

I've no instant cures, but I can tell you what helps me.

Extra vitamin c and garlic tablets
Hot lemon and honey, and hot bouillon
steam to help clear congestion
zinc lozenges seem to help coughing
Sleep as much as you can
Wash a lot
Gargle mouthwash to help kill the germs
And pour a little alchohol over your toothbrush after you use it in the morning: That will kill any germs there so you won't reinfect yourself.

Feel better, and good luck with school!
